On 680 - I heard Jim Donnan dissing MState a while ago -- "Why'd Mississippi State keep recruiting him if they had all this stuff?"

Donnan is a Mo-Ron. Heard him on Finebaum the other day like he has a clue about anything that is going on. The mancouldn't winat Georgia for Pete's sake

he won very well at Ga .... he just couldn't satisfy a fanbase as hard to pacify as AU & Bama ....don't worry, he has little credibility here andhas not been heard from until now ..... the media types are grasping for things to keep the story going for their shows .... I kinda view himthe way I do Jimmy Carter .... both of them need to shut up, especially now that they are no longer a factor

He was 8-4 the year he was fired.

I'm no Donnan fan, frankly, but he's a good coach.

Yes or No. Is it a violation to continue recruiting a prospect who has (or his reps) solicited illegal benefits from you? If it is then we will have to answer for that. If its not then these talking heads need to shut their pieholes up about this. If its not a violation then if was strictly OUR PEROGATIVE whether we wanted to keep recruiting him or not given we continued recruiting him within the rules. And even with that I'm not really sure how hard we were even recruiting the guy after about the first week of December and all of this "pay for play" stuff was made clear. We certainly never publicly pulled his scholarship offer but that doesn't mean we didn't back off.
