A challenge flag?

One thing we can probably all agree on is that the refereeing has gotten somewhat worse over the last few years.
Why don't they implement a challenge flag or something similar could be a red towel or w/e, and I say anything can be challenged. If it is at a critical call in the game then nothing is off limits, fouls - walks - out of bounds etc.
Give each coach 1 per half or 1 per game idc. These guys are human and they make mistakes and given a chance to change it and get it right then why not?
Charge the coach with a timeout if he gets it wrong. I know the game is slow enough with TV timeouts and such but too many games have been decided on bad calls. If not this then what can hold these guys accountable. I am not even saying they do it on purpose. The game is fast and a lot can happen- no one could get them all correct.

A side note in NFL when a ref has to go over to the side and watch a video on a call he missed and then go out there and change it how do you think he must feel. Gotta make him want to get it right more than not.

I have seen those F'ing idiots stare at a moniter for 5-10 minutes and still get the call wrong..... a challenge woudn't change that

What would be challengable? I like the idea but for goaltending or an out of bounds. What else could work?

And discredit the refs DURING the game and prevent them from referring their next game? I think that would make things worse. They are going to protect their own.

All of this crap has hurt the games in its own way. No thanks on watching them stop a game to go stand at a monitor for 15 minutes just to get it wrong half of the time, and change the outcomes of the games by stoping and slowing momentum. Not to mention giving a tired team an illegal 10 minute timeout to rest. That kind if crap can change a game a lot more than being able to correct 1 play out of 50 missed calls in one game.
