This is correct. The filth and abomination that semiprofessional college athletics has become is unmanageable in football. It drove the greatest coach in the history of the game into retirement. Stoops as well as most coaches in the semipro division 1 league have much fewer resources than Sabin. 7 figure salaries, no binding contracts, revolving door commitments adds up to chaos.
