Here is a list of coaches with head coaching experience listed in categories from top to bottom. However the bottom is a vast improvement on the state of affairs Rutgers finds themselves in. A fans try at being the AD.

Class 1,
Tom Herman................One of his requirements is that the AD and President support the program.
Rod Carey.................Solid Coach
Matt Rhule..................See Tom Herman
Joe Maglia..................Very Successful in Business and Coaching
Jim Tressel..................Probably a pipe dream
Justin Fuente..............Solid Coach (Rutgers might be to cheap for his buy-out)

Class 2
Jeff Brohm....................Early yet but looks good.
Willie Fritz.....................Wins wherever he goes.
Bo Pelini.......................Fun press conferences.
Matt Viator.....................Solid Coach

Class 3
Chad Morris..................Ling shot. Bringing him in requires great leadership. So onto the next one.
Gregg shiano................Can the AD and Shiano "Just get along"
Dino babbers.................Solid Coach
Everett Withers..............Looking good
Doc Holliday...................He'll have to leave his thugs in WV.

Class 4
Bob Stitt.........................Hidden Gem?
Bruce barnum................Hidden Gem?

Class 5
Save Money, Might get lucky? Still better than the 1AA Offensive line coach Rutgers calls its "Head Coach".
Andy Tally....................Has 5 years left Hell bring stubbility and recruiting. He might want to prove something.
Tony Reno....................Hidden gem?
Tim Beck.......................Success at d2
Tim Murphy...................Hes not Kyle Flood.

21 Coaches who I believe would be an Improvement over Flood and company.

When class 2 lists a guy with a lifetime record of 10-6 you know you are in for some real reaches.

I'd hope an AD could spell Greg Schiano's name a little better than you did.

For the life of me, I don't see the obsession that people have with Matt Rhule. He beat PSU. Great for him. He's gotta prove one win isn't a farce before he'd be a viable candidate.

How is Bo Pelini Class 2? His record as a head coach is 69-28 (all but this year as HC of Nebraska while in B12/B10) while Justin Fuente is 21-20 coaching in Conference USA/AAC?! You also have Jeff Brohm equated with Bo Pelini and his lifetime record as a HC is 11-6? Andy Tally at least has a decent record as a HC but unless he grows a beard I don't think he'll be bringing any "stubbility"

Don't we already have someone playing the part of an AD...and University President for that matter?

obviously you know nothing about being an AD.

an AD can't make logical comparisons or choices him/herself.

they have to pay some search firm $80,000 to tell them what everybody in athletics already knew, and to do a vetting that one's own staff could do a far better job of.

And of course in choosing an AD you have to pay a search firm to tell you what you already know and then you have to allow a politically connected member of the search committee to insert her own candidate onto the finalists list and demand that person to be hired.

Nice try at some entertainment but unfortunately a waste of time and effort. First of all, does Rutgers actually have an AD? Second, no one in a position of authority give a rat's *** about winning football games. Flood will do just fine.

After Jim Tressel, Bo Pelini is easily the most accomplished coach. Yet he is a tier 2?!??

And also we have to worry about Fuentes $500,000 buyout but not Hermanns $2 million plus buyout???

Also joe moglia is about 70 years old and has virtually no big time coaching experience.
