First let's preface this by saying YES we've played inferior opponents (regardless of what Bogey seems to think) all year so far. Whether they were Sunbelt teams or whether their coach is terrible Vs. ranked opponents bhonestly before i start sitting in my boots about the mighty Tide a question please. Who the he'll have they beaten? First a VERY overrated Michigan team w/out their starting RB, a very overrated Arky team who if I'm not mistaken Tyler Wilson didn't play in and the team was in utter shock after losing to ULM, an improved bear team that in all honesty took over 2 yrs JUST to win a conference game, a broken beaten Mizzou team that struggles to move the ball against an SEC defense and then last week a UT team that can't wait to fire their coach. Looking at their schedule the best TEAM they've played was W. Kentucky. I understand they are Bama and they are going to be happy to play back at home since the bears but honestly they are looking to next week Vs LSU. They don't respect us, don't think we can move the ball Vs. their defense and can't wait till next Saturday. It's the perfect trap game for them. The bears had success staying with their defense"check downs" working the short routes abduction running an occasional draw to keep their ends from getting too much pressure (best way to slow a pass rush). But the bears starting losing the game when an inexperienced Wallace (but still talented) started forcing balls deep. And then Freeze played with his personnel groupings a little too much and Mackey threw a pick too. But we have 2 things they don't: we have a QB who has faced SEC passrushes Vs. SC and even Vs. Bama. And number 2 (and this position to me is the key to maintaining success vs their defense) we have 2 TE's that make you cover the entire field. If we can slow down their running game their their(i didn't say stop) & force them into some 3rd and 5,6 or 7s we can bring pressure and create some T.Os and have a chance to win. The one thing that scares me though is their didn't KR game.
