"A Life Intercepted" by Charles Martin.
A very dear friend of mine from out near Martinsville recently sent me this book, suggesting that I would enjoy reading it. I read it this week. I texted Mike Salem and suggested he may want to read it, as it's wrapped around high school football.
I told Mike about this book after I finished the story, but before I read the "Authors Note" at the end of the book. The story was enjoyable and certainly worth recommending, but what the author explains in his note changes this. It goes from "should read" to "must read".
I'll let you come to your own conclusions, but when the author, Charles Martin relates his personal experiences to the story in the book, everything takes on a different meaning. I would go so far as to suggest that football coaches everywhere should consider making this book mandatory reading for their players.
I would love to hear the opinion of anyone that has read this book, please.
