I'm OK with giving Pico a week off. He's not been sharp the last several ball games. Hopefully a rest will help. I normally don't buy into the theory of going too deep in the SEC tournament hurting a team in a regional, but in this case I think our pitchers could use some rest.

Go into it with a lay down mentality and you risk getting embarrassed. Would rather give it all we got until we run out. It's never good playing a game you don't care if you win or lose. That's not how competition is suppose to work. What a terrible message you send to your team. Oh, so we are just going to turn it on next week with everybody "rested." You come out fighting when the bell rings and you fight until you can't fight anymore. That's how you go out giving it your best and if it's not good enough get better. Haven't been to Hoover in years, but the stadium looks spacious and comfortable. Hard to ever see the SECT moving from there.

Gonna be a while since we added Texas and Oklahoma. And even longer after we add Clemson and Florida State.

Hoover crowd is usually 1/3 State fans, 1/3 LSU fans and 1/3 everyone else. Probably a third of the LSU fans never make it past the twelve tent bar in the parking lot.
