I think this team is already better than both of his first two teams .
Mareno in year two will be much better than Marino year one. We have two true healthy point guards . That’s huge . Should be one of the best combos in the nation. The Senegal kid is going to be much better than Mo or Jelavitch ( sp) . I always thought Williams was better than Chandler . Hawthorne may surprise us . Are they a top ten team . No not without a standout 4/5 and a creator /shooter . But there is still time to recruit those . We are only two spots away from having a top ten team if we can recruit just two stars . Months to do it in .
I think Pope deserves every chance in the world to succeed this year . If the results are the same then we move on . But true fans should not give sportswriters and opposing coaches fodder to make this year even more difficult.
