A question I have about the Shell Station meet-up

Any of y'all ever been recruited? I'm just wondering if (a) the school pays for gas and meals in route--I would think so and (b) if they do, are receipts required from the recruit before reimbursement or are they just given a per diem and mileage. Because if receipts got sent in to State for that Shell gasoline and some hot wings and tater tots from a gas station in Gordo, I'd be willing to bet the credit card digits on the receipt don't match up with any cards Cecil carries.<div>
</div><div>Or this prospective silver bullet may just really be a red herring....but Kenny or his boss weren't letting Cecil shell out any petty cash--I just can't see that happening.</div><div>
</div><div>Another thing....assuming Kenny got shut out after MSU refused to pony up. Did another runner steal his client or did Cecil go to bat for himself? Or did Cecil already have another offer on the table before the meeting with MSU independent of Kenny and this is why he was suddenly emboldened to name a price? Or another thing....hell, nevermind, I gotta get out of this rabbit hole....please let their be tapes....</div>

The FBI can find out anything. They can get your jock size if they want. Last week someone was taking about the Trooper as the fall guy at Auburn. You can damn sure bet Cecil wasn't paying for crap.....

Don't know how long they keep the files at a Shell station.

If it's digital, it could be there...if it's hard copy I doubt its around anymore.

IF that were to show up, that would be very, very bad for Cecil and Auburn. I doubt it's there anymore, but I would not be surprised with the way this story is going.

Depending on the number of cameras operating on the DVR, the size of the hard drives in the DVR, and the frames per second and resolution that the DVR is set to record at, a typical DVR that would be installed in a gas station location would hold about 6 to 30 weeks of digital video. My installations generally will have 8 outdoor cameras and 8 indoor cameras at a modern gas station install, with 3 TB of storage, recording at 14 frames per second and D1 resolution. That setup holds approx. 8 weeks of digital video.

It's doubtful that they backed up any of it. Most don't. They're just set to roll over and record over itself, when the drives fill up.

to perform a Jack Bauer type interogation on the Reverend. Ready to see someone put the screws to that lowlife.

I thought I have been staying on top of the news on this. Did I miss something?

Ian: "Ok. Uh, Ken Rogers, and his attorney Doug Zeit here with us on,
uh, 103.3 FM ESPN Radio. Alright, so after that weekend, ah, of the Ole
Miss-Mississippi State game, did you talk to Cecil Newton or anybody
else involved in this process of the recruitment of Cam Newton to, uh,
to Mississippi State?"

Kenny: "After, after the Friday night before the game, Saturday, I saw
them at the game, but you know they was being recruited, you know,
walking around and all that, but I spoke to him and everything. But then
Sunday, uh, he went and met with the coaches like all the recruits do,
met with the coaches, and he called me to let me know they was getting
ready to hit the road.<span style="font-weight: bold;"> Well, you know, highway 82 goes right into, uh,
Alabama and then through Georgia, so we was gonna follow each other. So
what I did was, he just called me, and told me he was leaving, so I met
him right off of highway 82, um, at a Shell gas station, we filled up,
and uh we talked for a minute, and he was like, so what do you think
you-what do you think is gonna happen? Do you think it's gonna go
through? I said, well, I can't answer that. I'll just call-I'll just uh,
call Bill Bell. So I called Bill, Bill didn't answer, and I left Bill a
message saying, Bill, I'm with Mr. Newton, he just wants to know if
the deal is gonna go through."</span>

Kenny: "Well, if somebody's asking for that kind of money, I don't have
it. So I just called somebody that either knew somebody that had it,
which pretty much all the alumnis know each other, cause they're at
every game, so, you know, I just called somebody that I was close to, to
see if he knew of anybody, or let him know about it so he could tell
somebody else what was going on."

Interview.
