but I know on Scout Allen got bumped up to a 3 star. That's all I see. Looks good though. Weclearlyare recruiting needs. Tons of skill position guys, a bunch of OL,a bunch of athletes we can mold into whatever position we want them to play, what looks to be a solid QB, and some guys that can come in and make an impact instantly. Exactly what we need from this class. Mullen doing another good job.

but do you think we will still pursue Michael Eubank( QB from California). I pretty sure he is coming on a visit early January. He looks to be pretty solid, maybe even a little faster than Dak. Only thing i see negative about him is a poor throwing motion and not great footwork in the pocket, all of which can be fixed with the right coaching.

per BDJ.....Mullen is talking to Sr. DE Lauren Jackson from Meridian. He says MSU, Auburn, UT, and Bama are recruiting him now. I heard he tore it up in the all-star game this past week. I guess that's why he's getting some love.

NFL talent, great attitude and will be a leader on the defense from the outset. He's a guy other recruits want to follow. Easily a full time starter and All-SEC caliber by his sophomore year. Reminds me of Anthony Dixon.</p>

At least that is what I heard. Apparently he is listed as a senior in the media guide but is actually a Junior. Did I hear that right or am I making this up?

why is arrington moving to linebacker? From what i have read he plenty fast and has great instincts as a safety. I would love to keep him there to have a big guy back at saftey. just curious

It is absurd that we don't have a kicker that can boot the ball into the end zone on kickoffs, and that our distance for FG's is roughly inside the 30 and we hit like 60% of those if we are lucky. We play D-1 football, in a top tier conference, and we cant get a touch back to save our lives. Who's D*ck do I have to suck to get a quality kicker?

I am sure it is a combination of things. We have a lot of depth at safety with Mitchell/Whitley/Wells/Thames and Banks possibly moving back. I think they will have Arrington up to around 220 in no time and I see him as a Culberson/Ashley Cooper-type. Diaz likes a lot of speed at LB so it makes sense.

but I don't see a lot of touchbacks in general at the college level. So, I don't think it's just our problem.

That's the whole reason they moved kickoffs back to the 30-yard line - so there wouldn't be that many touchbacks.

I think this guy was simply the backup plan had Dak taken the LSU offer. I don't think the numbers will work out for us to take 2 QBs this year.

1. Dee can play both safety and Lb 2. His size is good for Lb with some time in the weightroom he could be a beast 3. Manny likes Fast Linebackers and Dee is fast 4. Depth chart we are in need of capable Lb.

We would definitely have speed at LB in 2 years if dee does go to LB, I would project our starters to be dee, CJ, and chris Hughes. Doubt there would a more athletic group of line backers in the SEC.

Brauchle had 0 touchbacks (0%) on 48 KOs with 3 Out-of-bounds and finished #8 in the SEC with 63 yard average.

#1 in the SEC was from KY, had 15 touchbacks (31%).

Note: MSU was the 'only' SEC team, besides UT, to not record a KO touchback. (Hogs had 15, Bears had 13)

That can't be right. Didn't we have at least 2 during the Georgia game thanks to the wind? I seem to remember going back to watch the replay and they talked about how wr were the last team in the SEC to record a touchback.

It does seem like we had a couple against UGA.... I was proud until the announcers said the wind was hard at his back.
