From my couch watching BTN today, the band looked and sounded great. Maybe BTN made more of an effort to show the band, but they were heard all game long. Added that much extra enjoyment to my watching experience.

Agreed, the band, the cheerleaders and the dance team have been great this year. They never lose the faith and maintain their enthusiasm from start to finish.

The band has certainly go often bigger and better. Very nice to see and hear. Tighter performance too.
Special recognition to the 7 or 8 players who refused to wear the rain condoms. Cymbal players and a couple drummers and 1 or 2 others.

Great job by the band. One thing I noticed there was less pumped in Dj music in the second half. Less use of train horn etc… they actually let the band play!
Apparently the band membership is up to 340. They sounded like it!
With all the talk of attendance issues at Rutgers it should be noted there were a fair number of empty seats at Kickoff for UMASS-PSU today. The critics always act like that never happens.. that the stands are full 15 minutes before kickoff at the best programs. Well.. not so today.
When the students are not there and the gameday sound staff isn't worried about drowning out their f penn st chants, it creates windows for the band to actually shine.
midway through the game the students stopped the f penn state chants.....
changed it to "f*ck you refs"!!! LOL
Good to hear. DJ music has been too loud and too constant. Can't talk to the person next to you about what is happening in the game.
