Like I said before the season. I like the upside of Bridges.

Don't know who will all be back next year but Bridges has the upside to do a lot of things
If those guards are still around. WVU could be a dangerous team.


This year.
I think WVU could win some of the matchups against the other teams with their guards but not all.

Maybe next year could be different if they all return.

I'm too deep into this season to even think about next season. I just LOVE this team! Its attitude, its intensity, its smart ferocity on defense. Maybe a little less dribbling and more passing. Deuce in particular. WVU is best when the guards get the ball to Culver IN THE PAINT, not at the 3 line. Or when a guard drives just outside one side of the paint and Culver zips from the 3 down the other side of the paint. That way either the guard is open for the layup or he passes to Culver and he lays it in. They are the Batman and Robin of this team! I sure hope we out-shoot the Cowboys on Saturday and that their superstar is OK in their corral and playing against WVU. It will look better when Huggins Heroes out-gun them! And I get orgasms every time I think of the Big 12 tournament that could have SEVEN Top 25 teams when they whittle is down to the 8-team field for Thursday. Poor unranked 8th team in THAT field! And basketball from 10:30 a.m. till midnight on my 85-inch TV screen. I will think I've died and gone to Heaven!

Bridges was a victim of the CFE jinx. As soon as CFE starts a euphoric and over-the-top thread (or threads) about a team or a player, expect a disaster in the next game.

Like anything I write has anything to do with how Huggins Heroes perform. If I had such powers I would wield them to smite down every team my alma mater plays.

Just in case, though: I cast a spell on the Cowboys! May their guns be firing more blanks than a neutered politician on Thursday! Just to be sure I will add: Here's a Carla (Cheers) curse flinging in your face, Oklahoma State!

If WVU routs the Cowboys then KingCoal owes me an apology. And we'll both be happy.

Confused. Frustrated. Empty...Still trying sooooooooooooo hard to sound clever I see. Huggins Heroes...choked five games this year...decided that defense is overrated...and show that for WVU at least...playing at home means playing with no enthusiasm.

I prefer to be optimistic about my alma mater and be wrong than pessimistic and be right. Seems to be there are those who seem to dive into WVU's trauma with way too much energy and relish. Poke the Cowboys!!! I'll finally be getting in a few days of golf in Ohio to calm my nerves before the Big 12 dogfight starts. Need it desperately.

Well you don't need a cart for miniature golf don't forget...just don't trip on the windmill. Oh...and you try sooooooooooooo hard.

You're right. I'm terrible. At 88 I guess I should give back the championship trophy my partner and I won last season. And I averaged 45 for 9 holes for the year! Yes, I keep all my scores in excel every year. I'm a rotten golfer. Fortunately the guys I go up against can't break 50. Charity case I am.
