So say the NCAA is looking a little harder than the administration wants to admit and they are depending on Devinner's 'statements' as their major source of evidence for punishihment. Is it beyond the realm of possibilities that Devinner is working to discredit himself for the benefit of MSU and his players playing for MSU? Stricklin tweeted something along the lines of trust but verify--I guess one could interpret that in many ways but maybe, NCAA, trust but verify your sources.

If he was doing that he should be spewing nonsense about many other schools by name as well. I think Stricklins tweet is directed at Joe Schad (at least it should be) and other media pieces of garbage running with the **** coming from Fat Bastard

Seeing as his dream was to play football for UM and he has pics wearing UM gear, I would say it is beyond the realm of possibility.

The best bet is that he's the 'center' of this whole NCAA investigation. My guess is he's just throwing smoke hoping to hide his deeds. Guy is just a typical street agent.

This thing is already crazy enough.

If your theory held true I'd admit myself into Whitfield for insanity.

Plus I find it unbelievable he'd purposely taint and ruin his career solely to benefit MSU. His career is already ruined and he knows it and he's grasping for anything he can to take down with him

Naw see, that's what they want you to think. He's actually a sleeper agent placed in Tenn. during the Templeton days. LT theorized that one of these days MSU athletics would finally burst out into the ranks and they needed someone to potentially misdirect attention from MSU by throwing egregious information at that very same source. See... you guys thought LT was trying to destroy us, but this was all apart of his master plan.

He hasn't admitted to doing anything wrong, much less ruining his career. In fact, he's more well known now than at any other point in his life

My theory is that the only thing DeVinny witnessed was a rouge booster making a $100 handshake to one of our recruits and nothing else. And, in order to deflect away questions about other players he is/was involved with, is making up **** to stoke the fire against us hoping to re-focus the entire investigation onto MSU instead of risking it spiderwebbing out and catching him with his hand in the pockets of several schools. Four facts support this conclusion.
1. MSU fired a coach and dis-associated a booster.
2. Our player in question was a member of a 7-7 team coached by DeVinny and a teammate of a 7-7 player who had his grades changed (obviously not for the benefit of MSU).
3. Everytime DeVinny gives an interview, his story changes. The truth doesn't change but lies are hard to keep up with.
4. We know the NCAA is casting a wide net in Memphis right now even though MSU's name is the only one in the press at the moment.

So you actually think a player would trust him now that he has hung Redmond out to dry when he is supposedly doing all of this 4 tha kids? Maybe instead of potentially killing redmond's chance to play this year, he could have been smart and told him to give the money and gifts back (if that occurred like he says). Instead he claims to have sat by doing nothing and ratting out later. I guarantee you that where a lot of these kids come from that he works with it will be extremely negative to be seen as a rat.

His career is done when it comes to working with players to try to get them signed with a university. His connections and the players will see him as toxic.

There's a difference between being well-known and being well-respected. If he wanted fame, well, he sure as heck got it. 15 mins of it won't pay the bills forever, though....

His "career" in the football world was ruined before this, obviously, since the number of schools in TN that basically have restraining orders on him. The dude can't even pass a background check to become a part-time, volunteer HS coach. Give me a break.

You seriously think a leech like him would admit to doing any wrong? No... he's going to put the blame on everyone else. Fits his personality to a 'T'.

He broke NCAA rules. He's a rep for a prospect and he took gifts/compensation from a booster. Forde even mentioned it in his article. Then, he tells everyone that one of his kids took money. However he gets compensated, I really doubt he's going to get the chance to rep potential college athletes again.

It's simple. This NCAA investigation is going to ruin his connection with the SEC boosters, high school players, and coaches. After this, nobody will want to be seen with him or want to play with him. This will dry up his money. He is pissed about it. He is pissed at the school working with the NCAA and not paying him hush money.

My theory is he is lying through is teeth. For whatever reason. It is pretty apparent that he is trying to hurt our recruiting. He knows these allegations are not going to hold up, he is just trying to hurt our recruiting.

De'vinner's claim of witnessing a $200 handshake is not an easy thing to witness. I encourage you to try for yourself. Put 3 people together, you hand an undisclosed amount of money to one of them in the form of a handshake, then ask the 3rd person how much was exchanged? (this 3rd person would serve as De'Vinner)
You will understand my point that that's why it's done as a handshake.
Any defense attorney could make this claim invalid.
