It was a thread about best late night food at your school. Do we have place in Starkville that is open really late besides papa johns? Every person was naming off little hole in the wall places that are pretty famous at their university and I was just thinking we don't have anything like that

They still have potato logs and fried chicken livers at the B-Quik on Lee Blvd?

That was always good for a 2 a.m. run.

Waffle House. Huddle House was our Trey Rutland after they closed the Waffle House on 82 until they reopened out by walmart.

There once was a pretty good pizza place next to Christy's that was open and delivered until 3-4am. Now as far as I know it is only the typical fast food places (McD's, Hardees, Taco Bell) and that new Pita Pit next to Mugshots. Oh and Huddle house and Waffle House as well. If anyone else knows some places I would be interested to hear because I am up late all the time and get burnt out on those that I mentioned.

I think the stomach problems I have now are from too many late nights at that place.
No. You went to The Landing. Then you went to The Club 200 yards past the old river bridge in Columbus. Then you finally got a nutritious meal at the House of BBQ on old 82 before crashing. Hopefully with the one you were on the dance floor with when they started playing "Last Dance" by Donna Summer and announcing "Last call for alcohol!!!!
It was the pre House of Death activities that caused your stomach problems but at least you got some.

The late-night window at Bin612... No idea just how late it stays open(or if it's even open every day), but those cheese fries are the best late night food I've ever had in Starkville...

Mr Cook was really good. Is it still open?

Wow some of you guys haven't been to Starkville in a while. The old Mr. Cook now house The Great Wall. The B-Quick next door no longer has food. Starkville Cafe is still open and is the best breakfast in town but no longer open late nights.

Late night hash browns at Starkville Cafe used to be the bomb! Hate to hear it is not ope 24hr anymore. I probably would have had a lot more cases of alcohol poisoning back in the day without that thick Texas toast at 3am.

Back in the day it was Allgoods for me...think it was at corner of 82&montgomery?.....near the old delta house. I think is been a video place and maybe even a dry cleaner since. Not sure what it is now. Also, seemed like there was a time when starkville cafe was never closed.

Starkville Cafe

was pretty popular while I was in school (02-06). As mentioned above, it was open 24/7 back then. After downtown would close (0100), many would stop in. It was always a pretty funny scene. There would be about 40-50 drunk-*** kids in there causing all sorts of Hell. The service was always extremely horrible, due to the fact they had one cook and one waitress/cashier working at that hour. However, the food was pretty delicious. It was basically Waffle House type food.

Can't believe it took this long for an Allgoods reference. Many many drunk nights there.

See everyone is bringing up memories on places that aren't open anymore. I wish there was still one of these places people keep talking about open late other than a chain restaurant

They also have a kickass corndog, it's almost too big, even for my very secure masculinity. There is also a barbecue truck that occasionally parks next to coconuts that has insanely good rib tips. A couple food trailers pop-up when they want to. I keep hoping the people who used to run the falafel/shawarma place do another trailer, cause you can't beat drunk mediterranean.

Still cannot think of S'ville café without thinking of an enormous roach... My wife (gfriend at the time) was sitting across from me. I begged her to go as I am a 'breakfast anytime of day' guy. She is no huge fan of breakfast. After our meal, this huge roach crawled from the wall across the back of her seat. Quickly, I got her out of there without her seeing it... Such good food, but that thought will never leave me...
