You going over to HR to gloat?Yep I posted in the other thread that Mineo was reporting it. Man it's been a tough summer in Pa. I expect a statement from Brooks soon
Yeah. Thatās why he hasnāt competed in the last year.Had he previously disclosed the medical issues?
Nah why would I. You guys get things twisted I never find joy in others failuresYou going over to HR to gloat?
The substance will be released once his suspension is listed on the USADA website for suspended athletes. So we will all know what Wegmans is selling soon enoughJohn Brooks on what happened:

Olympic medalist Aaron Brooks faces possible suspension for failed drug test
Hagerstown native Aaron Brooks, who won a bronze medal in wrestling at the 2024 Summer Olympics, is facing possible suspension after a failed drug test.www.heraldmailmedia.com
Looks like Aaron, early in his pneumonia recovery, had a brain fart and picked up OTCs in the store at Wegman's without checking the label vs the WADA list.
There will likely be aome suspension, but hopefully closer to 6 mo than 2 yrs because there was no competitve intent.
Also, hopefully Aaron stops buying OTCs in the store. Either stick with prescriptions, or at the very least buy online at home so he can take his time to check the ingredients list.
HR? We know itās not Human Resources. You going over to HR to gloat?
Hard to know where to begin with that explanation. The suspended road is littered with hormone-d carcasses. So is the road of alleged users. How does a hormone supplement/balancer even get considered? Feel like that word should be Lava and athletes can leap around on the furniture. It feels like any athlete participating in a sport that tests for PEDs should be aggressively careful about taking anything that purports to āpromote optimum hormone levelsā considering the amount of testing that is searching for testosterone, a hormone. This feels incredibly foolish.
Hawkeye Report. Itās the old name for their wrestling forum. Corby is over there under the screen name west2eastHR? We know itās not Human Resources.
Itās probably Hawkeye related, but it canāt be Wrestlingā¦that starts with a āWā.
DHEA (Dehydroepiandrosterone) is a supplement that promotes optimal hormone levels. It's sold at Wegmans and would be near the fish oilHard to know where to begin with that explanation. Mostly agreed, "mostly" because this is too complicated. Don't think about the nuance of what might be tested for. Remove all thought from the process. Purchase only medicines/supplements pre-approved by the team doctor. No other sources, no substitutions, and no other considerations. It feels like any athlete participating in a sport that tests for PEDs should be aggressively careful about taking anything that purports to āpromote optimum hormone levelsā considering the amount of testing that is searching for testosterone, a hormone. I know what it is. Itās simply ridiculous that a world elite level athlete with 5 years of college managed to wrap his fingers around it. Itās not like they arenāt fed a heap of info on the topic.DHEA (Dehydroepiandrosterone) is a supplement that promotes optimal hormone levels. It's sold at Wegmans and would be near the fish oil. And its an illegal substance with the USADA.
Agree and shocked he would take anything that he didn't check on the app to see if it was illegalI know what it is. Itās simply ridiculous that a world elite level athlete with 5 years of college managed to wrap his fingers around it. Itās not like they arenāt fed a heap of info on the topic.

You might want to go read my posts about this situation. You obviously haven't.Corby your a diāk and everyone knows it. But since youāre having fun with issues with PSU , those other fanatics from okie st and iowa are loving you. Which youāre eating it up.
What does this have to do with Brooks? Oh that's right -- nothing. But you can't help yourself.Just got a text with a screenshot looks like pitch fork rebel must've read my post here and took it to BWI .

Your actual wrestling content is typically good. Try sticking to it.
Corby you may actually be he a nice guy, i have never met you and unless you attend the PA state tourny may never met you. But I call my best friends diāk becuase they can be and so can I. You just happen to come across as one being a key board warrior. Growing up in the 60ās name calling didnāt get people butt hurt so much. You might want to go read my posts about this situation. I've put Corby on ignore. The value he provides is far outweighed by the whining, defensiveness, eye-poking, prodding, insults, and other nonsense. It's a select club -- I've never even ignored Ironbird, because he at least provides entertainment value. Even Vodka gave us a bunch of running jokes.Corby you may actually be he a nice guy, i have never met you and unless you attend the PA state tourny may never met you. Born in 74 myself. Sticks and stones my break my bones but words will never hurt me. You guys think it's a 1 way street and it's not . So when I say something back I'm the d**k. Many of you must brush your teeth with your eyes closed . Well Brooks agent has confirmed that was what he took and still has the bottle and the receipt. All this happened after I did a simple Google search that said promotes optimal hormone levels Wegmans. And I found that they had DHEA and it says those exact words on the bottle and the USADA ban it in 2004 I believeI've put Corby on ignore. Back to the topic that matters ...
Brooks "buying DHEA" conflicts with Mineo's assertion of a "recently banned substance." DHEA has been illegal since 1997. They can't both be true. I'm not taking sides here -- I'll wait for something more concrete than this speculation.
I'm in the same camp. Once is a mistake. Twice is a trend.I really don't see an excuse for Brooks to have taken a banned substance. He is no longer a HS kid and should know better. He has wrestled internationally for years.
What trend?I'm in the same camp. Once is a mistake. Twice is a trend.
AB is making too many mistakes. He either engages his brain and takes the rules seriously or not. I can't think of any other NLWC wrestler who has run afoul of USADA other than AB. And he has done it twice now. Thus my scepticism. He needs to do better. Multiple issues is certainly cause for skepticism, and that is on AB to clear up, and not for me to give him a pass. What trend?
He had a prescription for Vyvanse. His problem there was: he forgot to bring the prescription to his test, so it needed to be confirmed. His competing at the Olympics meant it was confirmed.
Sticking to the facts is not giving him a pass.AB is making too many mistakes. He either engages his brain and takes the rules seriously or not. Saying mistakes seems a bit harsh to me, AB got a bad rap for what i would call an oversight the first time no big deal . This one seems like a very small mistake and very unintentional . I can't believe there have been so many post on this.AB is making too many mistakes. He either engages his brain and takes the rules seriously or not. How many mulligans is he due?Sticking to the facts is not giving him a pass.
Be carefulI get what you guys are saying but AB needs to take responsibility for his failings. All I hear are excuses from him. I'm looking for him to do a lot better adhering to the rules. Two positives, no matter the reason, tells me that he is too loose with the rules. He needs to follow the rules strictly from here on out.
