At 7 wins, we've earned our bowl game and then some.

Relf is not any better now than he was in week 1. Clearly he has plateaued.

So start Russell. Give him a chance to get better. He has seen very little PT in the 2nd half of the season. Let's see what he can do.

Would you REALLY think we have much less of a chance winning with Russell than we would with Relf? And if we lose to Arkansas with Russell, so what? We already have more wins this year than almost anybody gave us credit for. And we'll still have a great chance to be Ole Miss the following week.

Russell equals more turnovers...More turnovers equals losing to Arkansas, Mississippi, and the Bowl Game. If only Russell played, we wouldn't have won one single SEC game....And I hope that Dak Presscot is the second coming of Chris Relf....We have 7 wins already..some of you knuckleheads need to get a clue

Get them over with now. Russell needs to improve learn from his mistakes so we can be better in the future.

Relf will never make us any better. He hasn't improve a lick this season - which says he has plateaued.

to me, there's not much difference in what Bowl game we're going to go to this year, whether we win the last 2 games or lose the last 2 games. I think we win one more, we might get the Peach. If we lose out, it's probably Music City.

I think you are right when you say Relf has plateaued. It's time to get TR some real experience now. Let's see what he can do. Sure, he will probably turn the ball over more than Relf has been doing this year, but that comes with experience and learning when to just throw it away. This is something that could benefit us down the road someday.

What I wish we'd do is just run the same exact offense we run with Relf in there, just run it with Russell. TR needs to learn how to run the ball more effectively. With more PT, I think he can learn to do that. I think he can learn to be an effective running quarterback a whole helluva lot more than I do think Relf can learn to be an effective passer.

It's time to try something new...and start looking towards the future. I'm sorry, but Relf is not the future of this team. I'm not certain Russell is either, but it's time to find out. The reason we are in the position we are right now is because of Chris White and Manny Diaz's defense. The offense has done just enough to not get us beat, a la the '00 Ravens. The difference here is we don't have any playoffs or a Super Bowl to still play for. We have the Peach or Music City Bowls. Nashville or Atlanta. And although I want to go back to the Peach, I'd be perfectly fine with having a bowl game in my home town.

We don't need to be a passing offense, we need to be balanced. With Relf, that is impossible. I know Mullen will stick with what he's been doing, but my message board poster *** sure would like to be surprised and see someting different. I just don't see how anyone can still be in the Relf corner at this point.

Yep, the benefit of playing Russell, even if we lose to Arkansas is greater than the benefit of playing Relf and getting a win.

Same intellect. Relf does not turn the ball over often, thankfully, he can hand the damn ball off without fumbling it MOST of the time. He shouldn't turn theball over ever considering that Mullen is only asking him to hand the ball off and throw two play action passes a game. The passes are usually so inaccuratethat it makes it impossible even for the defender to have a chance for a pic.Our D and running game is responsible for EVERY SEC win this year DESPITE Relf's performance at the QB position.

You play to WIN THE 17ING GAME. Relf gives us the bestchance to win games, unless we're having to play from behind. And 17 this"we've alreadyhad a goodseason" ********. We've won 7 freaking games. It is a pretty decent season, but damn it, I want to win 8, and then 9, and then 10.

And Relfis not apart of our running game? If your dumbass knew anything about football, you'd know that the threat of Relfpulling the ball and running has opened up running lanes for therunning backsand helps set up blocks for the linemen.

Dan Mullen to make that decision. With that said, I do wish that we would mix it up a little more often. I wish these 2 QB(Relf, and Russell) would work together, and learn from each other. Let Russell show Relf some things on passing the ball, and let Relf show Russell some things on running the option, and running the ball. Would be great for Tyler to develop the run game to become a dual threat QB.

one dimensional offenses? That really worked tonight genius. How many other DECENT collegeteamshave a qb with less throwing ability than Relf? I bet that youbelieve that Relf is some great scrambling QB, quick as a cat huh? Great decision making and a vocal leader? You also thought that Tyson Lee was the man, but everyone is supposed to believe that you know **** about football. Complete joke and you now it.

we start Relf to get the running game going and if they shut down our running game let Russell come in to mix up it up a little.

Have you enjoyed winning seven games so far? Did you enjoy beating Georgia, Florida, ect..?

That is just how the good Lord made them. Each can and will get better but they really need to spend their limited time improving on what they do well instead of working on those particular weak areas. If either had the capacity to do both well they would not be at MSU in the first place.

Our beloved Bulldogs played great football and won the games. Are you trying to say that Relf (4-9 for 33 yards) won the UFgame for us? Both of you are right, Mullen is showing TONS of confidence in Relf. He trusted him with nine total passes that game, half of them screen passes.

I agree with him 99.9% of the time. He's typically not too emotional and is logic based in his thoughts. The only thing I disagree with him on is Les Miles.

The time to start Russell would've been against Alabama.

You start Relf against Arkansas.

It's easier to get a ground game going against Arkansas than a passing game. It's easier to get a passing game going against Alabama than a ground game.

I said two weeks ago that your best shot at beating Bama would've been to start Russell. I knew it wouldn't happen, because you wouldn't see a coach make that kind of dramatic move mid-season just for one game, but it would've been the best move.

Bama stops everyone's ground game. You have to go to the air to beat them, and they are beatable through the air. Even Florida got the ball moving against Bama when they started slinging it. Then they went back to the run and got shut down.

I agree that our best chance against Ala was to pass. It was disappointing to me that when we got down 20-3 we did not change our offensive approach and start passing the football whether it was Relf or Russell. Continuing to run the ball was not going to give us a chance to win.We seemed content to just try and keep the score deficit at a minimal.I do not agree that Russell should have started vs Bama, however. Relf got us this far and will continue to be our starter.

...you play him. You live with his mistakes.

We should have played him more against Alabama. He needs to play A LOT more against Arkansas.

But we haven't been in alot of positions to get him playing time. Close games and all. My concern as of late are blocking by the offensive line and the low snaps. If they can't clean that up no one can excell back there.

Seems like Elliot is back there with Russell most every snap he plays, which doesn't seem to set him up for success. Is Elliot supposed to be the better pass blocker? I'm sick of watching that dumbass either run sideways or directly into the pile when he does get a handoff.

The receivers were dropping balls like they were radioactive last night.
