A loss is fine but that was not. I could care less about. " rest". What about pride and winning?

The "tired legs" "rest" crowd is just looking for something to blame it on besides we just made terrible decisions coaches and players in the last ten minutes. Game in the line the adrenaline should be more than enough to carry you through. Teams always screw up stalling with more then 2 min left

No dramatics DukeDenver. I've been watching Duke for 24 years. Realistically from what I have seen all season, this is a team that is prime for a first round exit. I really hope I'm not right but from what I see there is a high chance. I still love this team but be ready for a one and done in the tourney.

The ignore button is your friend....

Watching Grayson's reaction at the end of the game, did we just see Grayson's last ACC game.? I hope not

Blame this lose on coach K. Can we please stop playing 2-3 zone because our players still foul and the zone gives wide open shots in the paint, not to mention playing 1 big allows the other team to get tips in and offensive rebounds. Auguste had 22 rebounds, that is his career high.

I mean this ridiculous. Why why freaking why can't Duke hold a lead? I have seen them blow so many leads this season. It's painful to watch. We finally get productive minutes from Sean Obi and looks like everything is going Duke's way then all of the sudden we lose the lead. I'm so sick of that happening. I'll be disheartened about this loss for some time. It hurts so badly right now

I don't even know if it was the defense as much as it was the offense going down the stretch. I mean Duke could not hit anything, nothing going down the final minutes.

I always find it funny when all these couch coaches know all the damn answers.
Truth be known, I think everybody figured this game could go either way. It just happened to go the wrong way. I've seen Coach K win a lot more games with stall ball than he's lost.

I do think that was Grayson's last ACC game. Let's just hope we can make a nice run in the Big Dance. I think we can and will!

Kennard was 2-14 for the game. If we could just get Ingram, Allen, and Kennard going at the same time I would be esstatic. We will get a full weeks rest and a week to bounce back.

When Duke was up by 16 I would have had 2 bigs in the game and gave Allen a 2-3 minute break. When playing 2 bigs it allows Kennard and Matt Jones to be on the bench and they can come in and sub for players who might be alittle tired. Jeter played very well in the 2nd half and Plumlee was struggling I will base that on his broken nose, but Jeter should have played a little more. Once again a lineup on Plumlee Jeter Ingram Allen and Thornton can produce on offense.

Heck, you need to contact K and see if you can be a game time coach. LOL

Coach K did not have his best game. He left Ingram on the bench too long when lead was evaporating.
Did not understand having Thornton on the bench versus man to man. There was no offensive movement for about 6 minutes. There was only clock watching.
That zone was pathetic. Beacham got open looks when Duke wings gave help down low.
When you shoot 36 3's you miss a lot of chances to go to the foul line.
At least Duke gets 7-8 days of rest. I am predicting a 5 seed with a second round game versus Maryland.

Last year we played with a short bench but was able to win, this year we have a short bench and it is costing us. Can this be a lesson learned for coach K to develop a bench by getting bench players involved at the beginning of the season and letting them play meaningful minutes all year that way if you have an injury your team can still produce.

With the ACC schedule this year depth was really needed - and obviously 3-4 games in a row at the ACCT needs some depth too...so we shall see what transpires next year after this experience

Please don't compare this year's team to last year's. First Amile is hurt. Secondly, Jeter is no Jah. DT is not a Tyus. Next year's Duke team will be like last year's

I think Thorton was on the bench because of his shot not being on and turnovers. Ingram had four fouls and was not having a very good game either. Duke jumped out to the lead in the first half with Ingram on the bench. I think K had to slow the game down with the foul situation but the team started standing around and weren't in good defensive position to make plays. Grayson Allen is a warrior but with the talent level that the Irish has Ingram is suppose to dominate down the stretch against these 6' 5" kids .Didn't happen

It is a cop out. Why can't we have k's 5 and you know, beat ND.

I doubt Grayson was thinking welp my last ACC game! He's a competitor who gave everything inside him and it wasn't enough. It's a dejecting feeling.

Don't really get what your trying to say by "produce ". I mean the team is battling.

Now, the only real question I have is in today's game Obi looked like he was playing like a great help off the bench. So I don't really get is it more of him just producing in a need help situation because he looked fine to me today with his confidence.

Really tough loss, but I'm not sure there's one thing we can point to and say "this is why it happened."

Coach K could have done things different. We could have rebounded. Maybe make a few shots. Mentally it seemed both the players and coaches didn't respond well to Notre Dame's run. There's nothing we can do about it now.

Horrible loss but would rather it happen this Thurs than next Thurs. Ingram & DT have hit wall & needs to get legs back. 7 days off will do that.

First thing we need to fix, stop taking 30+ threes. Just like 2014, we lose every single time when hoisting up 30+ threes.

Watching Grayson's reaction at the end of the game, did we just see Grayson's last ACC game?

It's really quite simple. Grayson was reading this thread during timeouts and realized that he never should have come to Duke. Why? Because Coach K is a complete idiot. K doesn't develop a bench, takes the air out of the ball too early, makes lousy substitutions, goes zone when he shouldn't, has been totally owned by ND, blah blah blah. Once Grayson realized that he totally wasted 2 years of his young life, he just lost it. The coaches were hugging him because he said he's going to transfer to ND so they can continue to own Duke forever. Anyone could see that.

Let's take a step back and let the frustration subside and then analyze the end of this game....This team got complacent up 16 and a veteran gritty well seasoned team took full advantage of that....Lets remember Notre Dame is always upper classmen heavy and have all been around this block before....A lead is never too big in March and this team found that out the hard way....Every team needs a guy to step up when momentum is entirely going for the opposition and knock down a shot to calm everything and everyone down...This team is struggling to find that guy and it turned into complete panic....Our offense began turning the ball over or taking quick poor shots and Notre Dame capitalized on every mistake....On defense we forgot our roles in the zone and had 4 guys converging on the ball leaving multiple shooters wide open....Does it suck, yes, but let's not lose our heads and point fingers....This was a team collapse, a team that is made up majorly of freshman and sophmores which can be a disadvantage this time of year...We needed the guy who could drive to the hoop and draw a foul to stop the momentum, it never happened....We still have a shot going forward, lets stay positive.

I'm not that certain, but I tend to agree it's very unlikely he returns.
I want Grayson back but why on earth would he want to come back. Everything he does is blown up into a major story more than any college basketball player in the country. I just read that the embrace from K was to show people that he loves Grayson and that Duke fans should love Grayson. I think K is probably fed up with all the crap Grayson is getting!

I'm not comparing the players from each team, I am talking about lacking depth, coach K has one of the best programs in college basketball. Why not have a 9-10 man rotation that one if someone gets hurt you are still running 8-9 guys onto the court per game. That is all I am saying, play more players throughout the whole season.
