Let's note that all 3 of these were in the southern half of the county. Not that the whole county isn't crazy, but those folks around Moselle take it to a whole different level.

When it comes to Crazy, Jones County has chunks of Hinds in its stool.

I agree. Jones County runs by the beat of its own drum and aways has. While this is very sad for the folks involved (especially the child), it doesn't necessarily surprise me. I'm from the Hattiesburg area, and Jones County is the butt of more jokes than Petal is around here.
Don’t count out the Free State of Jones on anything….
It was filmed mostly (maybe all?) in Louisiana but I know a handful of folks who were involved in the movie…

I hunted rabbits with a 22 back in the day. When you don't hunt behind dogs it's really easy to hunt with a 22. A rabbit won't run far when you kick it up, just watch where it goes, it won't move once it stops unless you get almost on top of it again.
