they're just a "coach away" from kicking our *** next year. So, we get an early peep into the spin-monster teleprompter. Nice

He said that Archie has 18 candidates for the HC job they're looking at. If the coaching search lasts into December, look for Rebel-nation Head's to explode.

All Americans all over the field that just need a little coaching up.

How sad they have become.

a competent athletic director, ahead coach, an OC that is not a eunuch, a DC that can remotely scheme against the spread, a QB, 5 more All SEC OL like Sowell, some quality DL, a RB and a handful of CBs and Ss that can play in the SEC, yeah I'd they will be close to kicking our *** next year.

I know some of the most homerific, sunshine pumping, I buy whatever Yancy is selling Ole Miss fans and even they recognize the substantial rebuilding process that lies ahead over a multi-year period of time.

When those mighty Bulldogs from State roll to town with their 5-6 record you better hide the women and children. After beating the likes of Memphis, UAB and La Tech, they are not going to take any prisoners. We may never win again.

Although I find itonly mildly amusing you threw in aWAC team that whipped your *** into your reply.

I am sure you will beat us again in the foreseeable future; but you are on the getting your *** kicked end of the spectrum as opposed to the *** kicking end right now.

you state hasn't really beaten anybody either ...it wouldn't surprise me if houston has been keeping everything in and gameplanning for 3 weeks for MSU

I just laughed and said ...oh i guess he was smoking on the back of the bus, too

I love the greatest 6 loss team in the country threads on here. You guys are on the best run you have had in 10 yrs and that run is going to include one good year and one semi-debacle andyet youseem sure thatyour 5 win talent is going to beat OM for the as long as we all live. I am just trying to figure out the logic of it all.You will be worse next year which means you probably won't make it to a bowl. If it weren't for your craptastic schedule, your great season that was going to be wouldn't even have landed you in a bowl.

fine.....you are one coach away from kicking our ***. We cant possibly win more than five games with our talent...in spite of the fact that we have done so for the last two years.

Fine....it's completely illogical looking at who OM has hired since tubberville to assume we have a better coach than that now.

Fine....you guys know who has talent and who doesnt, because of course, you've recruited so well that it's obvious.

Fine....your coach, whomever it will be will get to pick who his boss is....and that couldnt possibly cause a problem when it comes time to fire his ***.

Yea....the logic of it all.

Glenn is a friend of a friend, here are some tid-bits:

 • No likely to go the route of a Saban disciple
 • Rich Rod has too much baggage
 • Fedora and Freese have a lot of support

you say craptastic schedule with your's Starting Out with the likes of BYU, Southern Illinois, Vandy then having Fresno St and La Tech....Tell me, how demoralized would your squad have been if they had to start out with one win against Memphis then playing at Auburn and LSU 5 days later then getting beat by La Tech as you did in your own schedule, then UGA vs playing your schedule to start the season? Hell you would've had an even tougher time getting that coveted second win! Not to mention that we were a couple plays away (one pitch by a QB, a couple of made field goals) from being in the same spot we were last year. Don't fool yourself, we are still in the process of rebuilding, not anywhere near done rebuilding. So excuse us if we relish in some success that has come along during the process. Later on, tell me how many back to back bowls ya'll go to during rebuilding.

Did any of you have much hope of turning things around quickly after the 45-0 2009 Egg Bowl?

I certainly didn't think so at that time.

Really? Amazing how the pros don't think our schedule was so easy.
And as far as being "one coach away", I thought Nutty Buddy was supposed to be a Godsend seeing all that he did at PigU! How come he couldn't do the same given all the talent y'all obviously have?

I think the one thing we have going for us is we don't have an incompetent coordinator (I don't think). Had somebody besides Nix been your D.C., the first game against UM probably would have looked different.

Also, in hindsight, our line actually had good talent on it that was too young. No clue what UM's young lineman look like.

in what bizarro world will statebe worse next year? now the w/l record may be about the same (other teams will not stay the same, they'll get better and worse), but Relf is not the starter, and we lose nothing significant out of the defense. Mitchell has had a rough year, our o-line will be about the same, maybe better. Ole Miss gets touted for having tons of young talent, but we have 20 MORE underclassmen than UM, plus the fact when you factor in attrition, our classes are ranked at least 10 spots higher.

Robinson is reportedly ready for next year on OL, Day has looked good, Gabe Jackson is good, Muniz is solid, add inHolley (ETS Holley, had originally mistakenlysaid Autry)who will play C and allow Day to slide outside. Clausell and Lawson are the only two HS OL that Mullen has signed who aren't progressing. At safety we lose Mitchell and Bonner, but return Nickoe, Hughes, and Thames is coming back. We also have the option to move Banks to safety.

I will go ahead and say we have overall improved talent next year. LOVE what we have coming backat running back, perkins, robinson (stud), milton, griffin. Hopefully Morrow can be a playmaker, but we certainly don't lose anything at receiver.
