Dan Mullen will coach Florida in the national championship game.

I don't like this at all! He's our coach now!

Since he is the offensive coordinator, he could call alot of his offensive recruits and just tell them, "Hey, if you watch the National Championship game, you'll get a taste of the offense I'm going to implement at State." And the fact that you're going to play for a coach that is a major part of the team in the Championship game...I just see more positives than negatives in that. But that's just me.

That was because he didn't have all the building materials bought yet to start on construction on the fence...

see a guy coaching in the national championship game in a crucial position calling plays, that's a big plus. Orgeron was a damn line coach. Also, unlike Mr. Croom's continuing to coach the Packers is a lot different. I thought at the time that he should not have been allowed to do that, and he simply showed no sense of urgency. Mullen appears to be looking like he can't wait to hit the field coaching for State....huge difference in those scenarios.

I don't think it will happen but if Florida goes out and gets shut down, all those recruits watching will be a bad thing. Once again, I don't think you can shut down Florida, but it is a risk that wouldn't be there if he was in Starkville.

OU doesn't play defense - they've given up big points to teams, they just outscore them. OU/UF will be a high scoring game.

Why in the hell would it matter if he coached in the game? The dead period is from Dec 22-Jan 4, I believe, so it shouldn't matter. If anything, it will give recruits one last look at the offense they will be playing in at State.

Huge difference? EO coached in the National Championship game for USC before he reported to OM -

I don't think Brent Venable's defense will shut down Tim Tebow.

...The recruiting class has all but faxed in their letters of intent. And we'll fill any leftover spots from all the guys that will call and beg us for a scholarship after seeing him sitting in the box during the game. And certainly you can't dispute that there are phones in Florida that can reach Mississippi. He'll have plenty of time on his hands to do a great job simultaneously in Gainesville and Starkville. After all... there are 172 hours in a week!

i'm interested to see if meyer will let him coach in that game. it might give him an advantage on recruiting some of floridas potential recruits that are on the fence. recruitng is a nasty business.

as long as he gets a grip on the incoming recruits, I'm going to give him a pass....

I certainly hope he does go back for the NC game. OU will have a hell of a time dealing with what they are about to have thrown at them. It will only help us, not hurt.

and he said he made a commitment to Tebow last year to win a NC. He left it at that. I understood him to be saying that he was going to honor that commitment. I respect that even though I wish he would be here instead.
