They have never been there before, and have become pretty popular over the last few years

Also, how the team is a source of pride for a city ravaged by Hurricane Katrina would get even more exposure. It will also give the networks a chance to blame Bush some more for the dams breaking and the poor, poor pitiful poor 9th ward flooding.

Edited for spelling.

the Favre story is a good one, but the Saints story is a media gold mine for stories to drive into the ground for 2 weeks. Archie-Peyton and Katrina overdose. CBS would bust a nut on those two angles.

Favre vs. Manning would be the battle of sure first ballot hall of famers. You people are delusional if you think that anyone outside of the deep south gives two ***** about the Saints. Sure Katrina is a little of a story, but has lost most of it's appeal since it was so many years ago.

Lost its appeal? I thought so too. I was just watching a piece done on ESPN on the city of New Orleans. Nope, appeal not lost. As a matter of fact, after watching it I may just root for the Saints. I loved to watch Favre but you know that piece stirred me up a little.
