Freese has a slow bat. Once the league figured him out, they weren't scared to pitch him inside. When he thrived in 2011, he was getting pitched outside and driving the ball to right and right centerfield. Now, he never sees a strike on the outside portion of the plate. Wong to 2nd and M. Carpenter to 3rd next year.
Adams is only a rookie. The league adjusted to him as well and quit throwing him fastballs for strikes. He'll have to readjust and learn to layoff the changeups low in the zone.
If Jay had speed or an arm, he would still possess some value. However, he has neither. He will be a 4th OF at best next year if he's even on the team. I like Robinson, but he's not an every day player.
I can live with Kozma at SS if we get more production out of the 3rd base and CF positions next year.
I'm ready for spring training to start.
