Could have been interesting with him batting ninth- he was very raw as a baseball player when he was at MSU, and then roll the lineup over to Jeffrey Rea and Brandon Turner.
I think his future is as a role player, though. Unless John Jay pisses LaRussa off like Rasmus did. If they re-sign Pujols, I think Matt Adams will end up in the outfield, along with John Jay and Matt Holliday and then Allen Craig will be the fourth outfielder. I also like Oscar Taveras who led the Midwest League in hitting.
