But we believed.

Well, things didn't go exactly as planned. Or hoped. Or imagined. The Bulldogs walked home with 38-7 loss and a severely bruised ego. Or maybe that's just my bruised ego.

With all of the belief, hype, excitement and pent-up envy-rage, I was hoping for a close ballgame. Nope. A 31-point loss. I was so disappointed, I almost had to change my halloween costume to the Angry Drunk. Which is even weirder in a yellow Teletubby outfit.

While the Bulldogs played hard, they were clearly outmatched by the boringly powerful Alabama squad. Both their offense and defense calmly kept the game out of distance and turned the game into a snoozer.

What's left to relive? In the end, the Bulldogs are still ranked and are now 7-1, having only lost to the no. 1 team in the nation. Time to heal up and prepare to take on SEC rookie Texas A&M.
