After last night, I'm no longer worried about aTm

That LSU game last night made me so ready for the aTm game. We may force Johnny Turnover to throw a good half dozen interceptions.

Any halfway competent defense they've faced has made them look like garbage. This is the stat that should decide the game: MSU is #1 in the country with a +2.43 turnover ratio, and a +17 turnover margin. Texas A&M is #103 in the country with a -1.00 turnover ratio, and a -7 turnover margin.

Aggies turned it over 11 times between Arkansas, ole miss, and LaTech games, against 3 horrible defenses. Against the good defenses they faced (LSU, Florida), Manziel averaged 0.5 passing TDs with around 225 yards passing, and 1 rushing TD with around 50 rushing.

I'm getting a head start on this thread because I may need to pretend next weekend's game never happened.

Don't underestimate the Aggies! They have a good team and if Manziel sees that defensive philosophy he needs to learn that he has a ton of time to pass. He rushed himself against the tiger bookends

He rushes himself every game. No discipline whatsoever

He's got a cannon, but poor control. With his o-line, he shouldn't be taking the chances he does.

Also, more interceptions than passing touchdowns in SEC play

our best chance of beating him is to make him make plays with his arm. You are right that he has less than stellar control running a finesse passing attack. He's dangerous because coverages break down when he takes off outside the pocket. That's exactly how LSU played that game. Corral him, give him the pocket with nothing more, and force him to make him throws down the field LSU did a good job showing us how to beat them.

On the flip side, A&M showed us how exactly how to play with LSU.

A&M has good offense, like most big12 teams. But they have no defense, like most big12 teams

Use the same defensive philosophy we had in the Gator Bowl. Take away the run drop into a cover 2 or sometimes 3. Keep everything in front of you and rely on tackling. The reason our defense is so great at TO margin is because of our cover 3 is very good for us. Teams like aTm & Arky are going to struggle with it.

And that's why we will win this game. They may score some points but they are so bad on defense that we can score right back.

This game will be a dogfight! Manziel lacks discipline but yesterday he was plain scared to run at times! We don't have near the speed on defense that Lsu has, and lack the intimidation factor to scare him. We will have to contain him as best we can but will have to have another big day on offense to come out on top.
