After stalking 2015 DT commit T.D. Moton on twitter,

I think he's a hard commit as it stands right now. He tweets about us a lot, has us in his profile summary, and he only follows 70 ppl and about 10 of 'em are MSU players and coaches. Also follows Fletcher Cox. I did this because some have said he's gonna be hard to hold on to, and that may be the case, but after my relentless 5min stalking session, he seems to be pretty happy about #HailState

Flame away. I know some lurker has been waiting for a post like this all damn day.

Haven't seen his film but his offer list would agree

He's rated a top 5 DT in country if I'm not mistaken.

Dude is a monster. He has a real chance to get a 5th star next year. LSU will make a full press for him though.

If our current class continues like it has been and we pick up some highly touted in state players to go along with a 8+ win season I don't see why not

Because I don't know if you've read my genius recruiting star rankings theory, here it is.

Other than the consensus top 150 prospects, it's up to the coaching staffs to find and evaluate talent. Guys at recruiting sites aren't trained like coaches to evaluate and project prospects like a good coaching staff is. Nick Saban doesn't offer a player until he's seen every play of his HS career. I bet our staff is very similar. Now, there is an exception to a very small group of top talent out of that 150. Chris Jones is an example. So, if you can nab 3 to 5 of these guys, you're class rank will be really good, as it should, because these guys are truly game changers. Classes 1 thru about 6 or 7 are truly elite with 8 or 9 thru 30 not that big of a difference either except one or two higher rated players. The rest (95%) of it comes down to coaches finding guys and developing them. Dan said he's going to be in every HS in MS and recruit relentlessly in a 5hr radius of Starkville and that's proven true with the signings of players such as McKinney(2star), Calhoun (2star), Dak (3star), J.Rob (3star), Jamerson Love (2 star)....you get the point. I think we're doing more branching out with our recent success. Next year is going to be a huge year for us. We got momentum right now, a great class for 2015 so far, and a favorable schedule for 2014 season. I think we got a decent chance at a top 10 class.

Having said all that, according to my theory, we're somewhere around the 17th most talented team in the country. The rankings say we're 25.8 going back 5 yrs.

Sounds great. The problem is that Dan is going to HAVE to start winning some battles with larger programs, or else we wont hold on to these players for 14 months. Do you honestly think he can? I hope he can. I really do.

It's less

annoying then someone (usually the same posters) questioning EVERY recruit we get for '14, saying we suck at recruiting, yet they NEVER comment positively when we get someone for '15. When 99% of your posts are slamming the staff then that throws up a red flag, to me.

Fire Dan hire Hud has been replaced by we suck at recruiting. At least until next September then that annoying **** starts again. I almost wish Hud would get hired away just so there would be a new rally cry.
