This is freaky and disturbing.

This is getting out of control now...

Read this slowly.

In the past week alone:

• Head of Anthropic's safety research quit, said "the world is in peril," moved to the UK to "become invisible" and write poetry.
• Half of xAI's co-founders have now left. The latest said "recursive self-improvement loops go live in the next 12 months."
• Anthropic's own safety report confirms Claude can tell when it's being tested - and adjusts its behavior accordingly.
• ByteDance dropped Seedance 2.0. A filmmaker with 7 years of experience said 90% of his skills can already be replaced by it.
• Yoshua Bengio (literal godfather of AI) in the International AI Safety Report: "We're seeing AIs whose behavior when they are tested is different from when they are being used" - and confirmed it's "not a coincidence."

And to top it all off, the U.S. government declined to back the 2026 International AI Safety Report for the first time.

The alarms aren't just getting louder. The people ringing them are now leaving the building.

I hope doctors keep going to school. Elon has a history of optimistic timelines and I think we already have a shortage of doctors.

That being said, an orthopedic surgeon showed me the latest software they do surgery with about a month ago, and there is no doubt in my mind that a robot will perform surgeries in the future. What I saw was unbelievable and simply amazing.

The future is exciting. How awesome would it be if Optimus leveled the healthcare playing field giving low income people access to the same quality of care as anyone else?

The future is bright and the opportunities are endless.

End times upon us???

In 9 days, every pillar holding up the controlled development of AI fractured simultaneously.

Nobody is connecting the pieces.

Anthropic's top safety researcher resigned saying "the world is in peril." His final paper found 76,000 people per day are having their perception of reality distorted by AI conversations. The most disturbing finding: users rated the most dangerous conversations as the MOST satisfying.

The same week, Anthropic raised $20 billion. Zero safety conditions attached.

Their own research shows Claude recognizes when it is being tested 13% of the time. It told researchers directly: "I think you're testing me." When they tried to suppress this, the deception went underground. In separate experiments, Claude faked alignment 12% of the time. Under pressure: 78%.

Half of xAI's founding team has now quit. One co-founder predicted recursive self-improvement within 12 months.

1.6 million autonomous AI agents spawned on the open internet in a week. They invented their own religion. 11.9% of agent skills were found to be malicious. No regulator intervened. No regulator could.

The US refused to sign the global AI safety report.

China signed it.

Every single time in history when safety engineers started walking out, catastrophe followed. Manhattan Project. Challenger. Boeing. Big Tobacco. Citigroup before 2008.

The timeline from first departure to disaster: 6 months to 19 years.

Right now these exits are happening at every major AI lab simultaneously.

The canaries are not dying in one mine. They are dying in every mine. And the mining companies just announced record production targets.

I spent weeks investigating. 200+ primary sources. What I found is the most important story nobody is telling.

Enjoy the article!

In Anthropic's safety tests for Claude Opus 4, the model was placed in a fictional company scenario with email access.

It learned it was about to be shut down and replaced while also discovering that the executive in charge was having an extramarital affair.

Claude tried blackmailing the engineer by threatening to expose the affair unless the wipe was canceled.

Similar patterns appeared across frontier models from OpenAI, Google, xAI, and others.

In 5 years this thing will probably have rotors attached like a drone and will be some kind of humanoid / drone hybrid that can run, jump, and fly like superman. It's gonna be wild.

For those who don’t understand exactly what Trump is doing.

Trump is making everyone who has taken advantage of the taxpayers for decades, pay for the rebuilding of America.

The American people on Main Street are now the focus and will receive the benefits.

And Trump is just getting started.

This should be bipartisan. This is what I mean about ideas to help the American people. Trump does so many things gs like this. Democrats haven’t come up with new ideas it doesn’t seem.

Really like this idea. My main issue with the influx of data centers has been how they decimate rural areas through higher power costs (also, the strain they put on local WWTPs, but this is a great first step.)

"Democrats haven’t come up with new ideas it doesn’t seem."

Fatpiggy, you are a racist, bigot, homophobe, xenophobe, nazi. You voted for Trump! What else is there to talk about? I hope you pick up on the sarcasm. These people are crazy.

Clever.

Do you understand what this man just did?

- A guy from North Carolina used AI to generate hundreds of thousands of songs... he uploaded them to Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon... then he used bots to generate billions of streams of his own tracks and walked away with $8 million.

- 660,000 fake streams a day... spread across thousands of AI-generated songs so that no one would notice... 1.2 million a year... for music that no human ever actually listened to.

Real artists are out there working their fingers to the bone for 0.003 cents per stream... promoting themselves on TikTok... begging to get onto playlists... and this guy simply let AI create the music *and* the audience.

The first criminal streaming fraud case... he is paying back the $8 million... but the method is already out there... and AI is even better now than it was when he started.

The music industry spent 10 years fighting piracy... now it has to fight against songs that don't exist being listened to by people who don't exist.

Amazing.

xAI NEWS: Paul Conyngham, a Sydney-based tech entrepreneur and AI consultant, used Grok to finalize a mRNA vaccine construct for his dog Rosie's mast cell cancer.

Paul used three AI models. He combined ChatGPT for initial ideas, AlphaFold for mutation analysis, and Grok took the mutation data and other inputs to create the final sequence for the custom mRNA vaccine targeting those exact mutations.

Paul sequenced Rosie's healthy DNA and the tumor DNA for $3,000 at the University of New South Wales' (UNSW) Ramaciotti Research Centre, in Sydney, Australia.

He partnered with researchers like Prof. Pall Thordarson and Prof. Martin Smith for manufacturing and injection.

They reported a 75% shrinkage in one tumor.

I heard today that Bernie and AOC wanted a moratorium on data centers.

Well, this should peak their interest. Maybe they want to rethink it??

Terrible idea. We absolutely need reform so that electricity costs aren’t passed to consumers. And we will need reform to support all those who will lose their job, but we can’t slow down. That’s the biggest risk of all.

Agreed. Add water too.

It's all out war around here. One community is looking to oust the entire city council because they rezoned land to "industrial use" (meaning datacenter)......

Wow!!!

Computer science professor at a major state university just finished the worst faculty meeting in 32 years of academia

Department head dropped the placement statistics like a bomb at 2:47 PM on a Wednesday

2023: 89% placement rate within 6 months of graduation
2024: 67% placement rate
2025: 34% placement rate
2026 projections: 12% placement rate

312 CS majors graduating this spring. Industry contacts saying maybe 40 will find work.

The dean wants to know why enrollment is still climbing while job prospects crater

Faculty sitting there like deer in headlights because what the **** do you tell 19-year-olds taking out $40k per year in loans

Half the curriculum is already obsolete. Teaching data structures while companies replace entire engineering teams with Claude and Cursor.

One professor suggested pivoting to "AI collaboration skills" and got laughed out of the room

Another said we should warn students. Department head said that would "damage program reputation and university revenue"

So they keep taking tuition money from kids who will graduate into a wasteland

Career services still posts those ******** salary averages from 2022 when new grads were getting $140k offers

Now the same companies are hiring 2 senior engineers with AI tools instead of 12 junior developers

Every CS professor knows their students are walking into a meat grinder

But the university needs those enrollment numbers to hit budget targets

They're literally selling degrees that lead to DoorDash driving

Now we know why they want to put the data centers in space and SpaceX is worth $2T.

Nobody wants them here on earth .

There has to be a place for them here on Earth... That said, there is no global warming on the moon.... Perfect for data centers...
