Yes…nuke silos there. If you were to place a spy balloon over the US, would it be over Montana?
BTW, from where did it come? I mean, when was it launched from where?

Like this one? What I can’t believe is nobody posted the clip from the Austin Powers movie with the male reproductive organ balloon! So disappointed in you guys who are the best at that sort of thing! Someone help me out!!
The end of the incident could be a boon for Grand Strand tourism. If I was in charge of the tourism bureau I'd go with a slogan something like this.....
"Come to Myrtle Beach. We have so much to do even Chinese balloons drop in to visit!!"
OK, so what additional intel could such a balloon flyover obtain?Yes…nuke silos there.
You missed it?What I can’t believe is nobody posted the clip from the Austin Powers movie with the male reproductive organ balloon! So disappointed in you guys who are the best at that sort of thing! Someone help me out!!
Nothing that the 20 or so Chinese satellites can't see that watch our country daily.OK, so what additional intel could such a balloon flyover obtain?
Do you really think we did not fry the electronics of the device as it approached Alaska? What do you think the military meant when it said the balloon was no threat to national security or civilians?
seems like they never intended anything other than exactly what they didIs that really the correct conclusion considering they spent millions to take it out? Something seems to have changed in, either in the assessment of threat levels, or simple embarrassment.
Props, Nitt1300. Caddyshack references are ALWAYS a good thing.
The next one will carry some sort of EMP.Probably not a "spy" balloon, but a test to see how far they can get into US airspace without being spotted or just to see what they can get away with.
I'm not sure they would go that far. I think they'll keep pushing to test us, but not that far yet.The next one will carry some sort of EMP.
I got one on my phone today...The Kardashians have sent a balloon to China...hilarious. I have no idea how to post pics from my phone to this website...Maybe somebody else will do so... You will laugh.Brought to you by some ******* from Mississippi. Surprised that his hood didn't interfere with his third grade penmanship.
So Kim just jettisoned her ballast?I got one on my phone today...The Kardashians have sent a balloon to China...hilarious. I have no idea how to post pics from my phone to this website...Maybe somebody else will do so... You will laugh.
And you know this as fact?
There’s a good reason you’re still refilling toner cartridges for supplemental retirement income.![]()
Here is a little link you might enjoy and you are amped up about a balloon?
https://dewesoft.com/daq/every-satellite-orbiting-earth-and-who-owns-them
or there is this--- that maybe can splain it to you better
Finally maybe the balloon achieved what it was designed for .... cause panic upon the dimwitted--- things that make you go hmmm
and right there is the problem as you may not be aware but there was a popular governmental program pitched back in the 80's about ABM Defense so the choice of shirt was quite aproposI’m admittedly prejudiced. I watched just 10 seconds of your video clip because I distrust all unshaven people sporting Star Wars gear. Perhaps it’s just me![]()
Or possibly some kind of bio-weapon that attacks our food supply. Easily denied and guaranteed to cause major problems. The next one will carry some sort of EMP.
An interview with the General who was in charge. He says they couldn't take action because it wasn't a direct threat. OK, so following up with the obvious - when and why did it suddenly become a threat?

NORAD detected Chinese spy flight before it reached US, but 'could not' take action, general says
NORAD detected China's surveillance balloon before it reached the coast of Alaska, but “could not” take action to shoot it down because it was not obviously hostile.www.yahoo.com
It didn’t. But they weren’t going to let it float back to China now are they?
And what are the rules of engagement for a ‘non-threat’ over American airspace? Seems like there are some policies/laws in place (such as collecting intelligence within the US) that maybe needed some workarounds.
I didn’t see that someone thought it was carrying explosives.
VanHerck also said officials assumed out of an abundance of caution there may be explosives aboard the craft meant to destroy it.
Not only that but the possibility of a bio or chem agent being released. Then there is the citizen who picks some debris up.Like a cyanide pill in case captured? It makes sense I guess.
Paywall here, but headline says it all. Very interesting….
Good thing they reported that.![]()
Wow. Apparently the Myrtle Beach fishing charters have changed a lot since I was last there.View attachment 308329
