"Until they prove otherwise, they're still Mississippi State." I'm sick and tired of hearing this. When are we going to start believing we can win these big games? Serious question. This is a game we were supposed to win and should've won. Yes, our defense is bad, but the Barn's is worse, yet they found a way to stop us when it counted. Maybe Mullen needs to bring in the motivational speaker that Saban brought in a couple of years ago.

Until we start actually winning big games, we aren't going to turn many heads.<div>

</div><div>there wasnt a single state fan that didnt think we would beat vandy that day. the reason, because they were vandy.</div><div>
</div><div>to auburn, we are mississippi state. they see us as inferior and they bring an attitude that proves it. sucks but its true.</div>

to change our culture to EXPECTING to win which Mullen wants. Here is a game this past weekend where I still believe MSU did have the better team and I think most MSU fans WERE expecting to win, some even talking smack, yet the team goes out and lays an egg with penalties, poor special teams play and a defense that didn't really seem prepared. Definitely continues to make the fanbase a little gun shy. All we are going to hear about is Mullen's record against the Western division until we start winning some of these and if we can't beat the Auburn team we just played then I'm not very optimistic against Bama, LSU and Arkansas for this year. I'm also still pretty PO'd that we've put ourselves at a competitive disadvantage with the scheduling of this LSU game this week. I'm sure LSU used up all kinds of energy against that tough NW State team they played this past weekend.

because I have no confidence that we'll beat LSU, Bama, or Arkansas this year. I think that people who thought Auburn was going to suck this year just got a harsh dose of reality on Saturday, but at the same time, beating a team like that on the road is something that Mullen is going to have to do at some point to keep this thing rolling in the right direction. Until he finds a way to do it, our best hope every year is going to be somewhere in the 7-5 to 8-4 range.

Now on the positive side, we beat Auburn in nearly every facet of the game last weekend except the one that matters most, the score. That gives me hope that we're extremely close but our defense has to tighten up and our special teams has to do a MUCH better job with field position. We got destroyed there on Saturday.

But, I have moved on. I'm ready for Thursdays game. I won't be on the edge of my seat thinking we are going to win, but I have a refrigerator full of beer prepared for whatever happens.

if you look at just the amount on Dan`s paycheck you wouldn`t necessarily think it came fom Mississippi State.

We are not the same ole Mississippi State that got their *** kicked for most of a decade just because we lost a road game at a place no one hardly ever wins at to a team that has won 17 straight games.

Are we a top 10-15 team? Probably not but we are not the usual 4-8 MSU team that shows up and gets manhandled by the SEC big boys either. Holy ****, our only losses over the last three years have all been to teams that were ranked. Put us in the Big East, Mountain Westor WAC and we likely have no more than one loss and are in the BCS bowl discussion last year (undeserved of course).

I agree this isn't the same 'ol Miss St team. And it's not just what del Greco said, it's the snide way he said it. He was a kicker, right? That syphillitic penis you speak of is probably Chiznik's the way he talks about him.

Relax and play! You'll sleepwalk to six wins at the least.

Get past that "delusional, insane" Auburn who were so "arrogant" to believe they had a chance to beat you and get on with the sleepwalkin'.

Can I steal a phrase from Croom, but it actually does apply here- if you can't see the improvement, they're blind. They just say stuff like that to make us angry. The fact that they even care enough to say something is a step in the right direction. Used to be, it was all friendly/friendly between us- now I'm glad that their damn bird hit a window.

We played like complete crap on the road Sat. Everything that could go wrong did it seemed like. And we STILL were what? One inch away from tying them and then maybe we try a two point conversion and who knows what happens from that point on. And to stop that play- regardless of whether you like the play call or not- it basically took a guy making probably the play of his life to stop it.

Now, I do agree with those that say that we need to beat a SEC West team other than Ole Miss. That's our next step. More than likely though that's going to come at Scott Field. Obviously, it's easier to beat someone at home than on the road. That's why this game Thursday is so big for us- it's another opportunity to beat someone from the SEC West, and then we have Alabama later at home.

The thing that we all have to remember is we are only going to continue to get better and better under Dan- we will break through sooner or later- Lord knows that we have a break coming our way. Once that happens, then we will be able to get that "one more inch".

As we all remember two years ago, we were only one inch away from beating LSU at home and then we beat Ole Miss. Then last year, we beat Georgia- a somewhat underrated win for us- before we took out Florida on the road and then beat Ole Miss on the road and then went to a New Year's Day bowl. We just need to continue to build on what we have done.

The Auburn game was the falling asleep phase, getting primed for the sleepwalking. It's all part of the plan.

You may win six games, but you will not "sleepwalk." It's not even possible. Why even make such absurd +#%##*! claims?

Maybe Relf was sleepwalking and that's why he dropped the +#%##*! ball.

The most arrogant fan base in the country evn though they have done nothing since black people were allowed to play.

And most people were saying this summer 7-8 wins was about right and if things went perfect maybe more. Not really delusional

"Ole Miss people you know really don't think **** about you, but a maelstrom of insecure thoughts and narcissism goes full speed in your fevered skull."

I'd be very careful about saying we've done nothing when you've achieved even less, yet brag as though you are Alabama.

Say, when does Mullen plan to recruit a non-Croom-recruited QB? I recall he was some sort of QB coaching god, no?

Please show me a State fan that thinks we are Alabama. And when is Mullen going to recruit a non Croom recruited QB. Oh I don't know, I hate that Croom was the one that got Dak Prescott on campus instead of Mullen. And say what you want about Mullen's coaching of QBs. It seems he has brought Relf quite a ways since he got here. And an Ole Miss fan making jokes about recruiting QBs is %$%%++% hilarious. Seriously, who will be your next transfer superstar?

get the 17 off this board you **** nugget. Shouldnt you be worried about ole miss and their ****** defense that gave up 450 yards to a 17ing no name school. Get the 17 out of here. How insecure do you have to be with yourself to come on a ms state message board and try to talk ****. That's the definition of insecurity.

Maybe so.

I'd say that your entire SPS bunch predicting Auburn as a foregone conclusion of a win puts you even more arrogant than Alabama who at least is nervous about the Iron Bowl whether they will admit it or not.

..crack wise about Mullen being a QB coaching god, please go re-watch films of the 2009 & 2010 Egg Bowls.

You'll witness one Chris Relf, coincidently a QB coached by Dan Mullen, single-handedly ripping the University of Mississippi several new ********.

But after Auburn's first game state fans weren't the only ones thinking Auburn would get killed. So tell me, when will Ole amiss recruit a QB for once instead of constantly depending on transfers? And what is your opinion on Croom's recruiting job of Dak Prescott since Mullen had nothingbto do with it?

You +#++#%% have hung your hat on this myth that beating Big Brother means a hill of beans. I thought you were going to try to direct me to some game film of him beating another defense. You see, my grandmother could break through our defense last year with a spray bottle full of urine pointed at the defenders.

Your post is proof positive of what out-to-lunch delusional retards all of you are. All. Every single *!+%*+% one.

"Dak Prescott" is.

Nutt needs to recruit a freshman QB, but Mullen can't even get a transfer. He tried for Masoli, who was better than Relf but ended up with a horrible Ole Miss team around him and a defense that gave up more points than he could score. Didn't get him and lied about even wanting him.

I'd say take your transfer smack and go get in your racecar bed and shut out the lights. Does the name Cam Newton mean anything? At least Nutt can get transfers.
