I believe so. Just as routine losing seasons would make NIL fundraising hard, I think sustained championship excellence might do it also. Not that us Bulldogs fans would ever understand, but I would imagine it to be difficult to want to dig dip into your pocketbook and sacrifice to fund a 5th national championship in 13 years. Might just rather take that vacation to the Caribbean.

I'm guessing Bama's plan is to continue the lucrative private player deals and sprinkle in NIL to look like they don't do any more than other schools. That O line is EXPENSIVE. Plus several position players are very very well paid.
