the Texas Rangers. 2 HRs and 2 IBBs today so far...

Looks like he might be back in his MVP form with Anaheim right now. Last year, it took him about a month to hit his first HR. He has 3 so in 5 games so far this year.

I don't wish him any ill will, but it wouldn't hurt my feelings if his career took a slide.

Ehhh, I'm still of the opinion that both parties made the right decisions for themselves. Albert got paid and STL avoided an albatross of a contract that could prevent them from putting a true team together.

Of course the Cardinals would be a better team with Pujols on the roster... but I'm not sure they'd have the ability to spend much to grab the necessary pieces for a run each year.

It doesn't bother me one bit if he has success in Anaheim... as long as it doesn't occur against STL in the World Series.

In the long run it was best for the Cardinals he's not tying up half their payroll. It still doesn't mean that I'm not happy about a lack of loyalty on his part.

How about the Rangers fans acting like ******** Cavs fans over LeBron with Hamilton yesterday. The Rangers didn't want to pay him and the fans booed him like crazy yesterday. I thought it was 17ed up.

He didn't help his cause with the comments he made about Texas.

That's the main reason they booed him.

I think the Cardinals learned a lesson from that. Yadier and Wainwright's contract negotiations went a LOT differently. Pujols is going to continue to decline and it might affect how the Angels negotiate with Trout. I bet the Angels end up dumping him before his contract is out. I don't understand why Pujols decided to become a dead pull hitter and use the whole field less..

I'm ready to see Oscar Taveras and Kolten Wong by the end of the year. I wish there was a quality college SS to draft to move up quickly.

I agree. Not giving pujols a huge franchise crippling contract was an excellent move. Had they given him that kind of money then there's no way they can sign Waino or Yadi. They will still have plenty of room for other moves as well.

People can be angry at Pujols but it was business and someone out there was goin to pay him the big money. He's one of the best players of his generation.

you obviously don't know how the hamilton to anaheim deal went down

he didn't give the rangers an opportunity to negotiate or make an offer..

then he trashed north texas after the deal was done.....

he derserved the boos... by the way, has he gotten a hit yet this year?

It's a shame, but Jesus got booed by the home fans too

according to Hamilton.

He's an amazing athlete, but dumber than a box of rocks. The fans would have remembered him fondly if he would have resisted giving them the finger repeatedly.

I agree as well.

Do ya'll feel that they overpaid a little for Wainwright though? When I saw his price tag I thought it was excessive, but I don't follow the Cards that closely so I could be mistaken.
