Yes, it sucked to see that game yesterday slip away --- one really un17nlucky bounce and about a half dozen questionable ball and strike calls from an inconsistent ump.

But the good guys showed they are more than capable of beating a team as good as UCLA - and UCLA is damn good.

BUT SO ARE WE and we will continue to get better as the season progresses. I trust BOC and my heart is no longer my own.

You don't want to get too dominant or you'll get complacent. You've always want to have that goal in front of you. And how many baseball teams have ever gone undefeated in the regular season. All things being considered this loss might be what this team needs to keep them as sharp as they can possibly be for the rest of the season.

Yea, yesterday sucked. Got some bad calls and bad luck but we also did some things that cost ourselves. SIX hit batters, two of which immediately scored on a homer by the next UCLA batter. Also had multiple guys thrown out on the bases. When you outhit a team 14 to 8 you should definitely win the vast majority of the time. The little things that you can get away with and win against a lesser team will cost you when playing another elite team. UCLA took advantage of everything and pulled out the win (with a little help from the home plate ump). Winning run definitely should have been walked home in the bottom of the 9th.
