I noticed that too. He has really screwed up the zone read quite often. Wonder if we don't practice that anymore since he's so good at it.Frances Drebin said:...he also overthrows wide open receivers in the endzone on passes a ten year old could make, and he never checks down, and my personal favorite, he reads the option dive wrong at least 50 percent of the time.
Or go TEAM? I think the O-Line, Ballard, Perkins, Bumphis, the D-Line,White, Wright, Banks, Mitchell, and Whitley all have just as much say in it asRelf. So does the coaching staff. We are not 7-2 b/c of Relf, we are 7-2 b/c we have a lot of really good players and coaches. But Relf definitely does his part too. I think we'd still be 7-2 or at least 6-3 withpretty much any other QB back there. The main thing required of that position is to make good decisions and not turn the ball over. The main point is that this season has been a complete team effort and the whole team deserves praise. But this is what you do of course...you always put individuals above the team and the success of the team in an effort to build imiginary message boardcred in yourhead. Congrats!Coach34 said:Go Ralph
markymark said:idiot. i guess this is the same exact team as last year's? no changes? no new defensive coordinator? in case you didn't notice, the offense was actually better last year. it's the defense that's getting it done this year. Don't forget there's a reason Relf wasn't the starter last year....he couldn't beat out the POS we had at QB last year. So, yeah, I stick by my original statement. This year's team as a whole is a LOT better than last year's, especially on the defensive side. We're not Auburn, and Relf is not Cam Newton. While he's certainly done an admirable job back there, we are not 7-2 solely b/c of him as the original poster tried to insinuate.
next time put a little thought into your posts before you start pecking at the keys.
RougeDawg said:For not using Relf more last year. He's adequate for the offense and complements our other key players. Could have played in Memphis last new years eve. Russel needs some improvement too.

last year's time of possession was better.other than turnovers and 3rd down %, there is not a gnat's asses difference in any ofour offenses statistics from last year and this year (and that was against the #1 SOS). It does seem like the offense had a much easier time moving the ball last year, butwe would invariably turn it over in the red zone. That's the biggest difference, we don't turn the ball over this year (and I actually said before the season started that that one statistic would define our success this year). And, yes, that is a tribute to Relf. As I said, he is doing a good job. As I also said, all we need in that position is someone to not maketerrible decisions and not put the ball on the ground to be effective. I guess I should have said any "average" QB instead of any other QB. I don't understand why this is so hard. This is not Relf winning games by himself like you are trying to insinuate. This is a great team effort from the coaches to the players and I don't think you can single any one guy out as the reason. But if you and KurtisRambo want to disagree, that's fine too. I just think that is an insult to the rest of the team.Coach34 said:markymark said:idiot. i guess this is the same exact team as last year's? no changes? no new defensive coordinator? in case you didn't notice, the offense was actually better last year. it's the defense that's getting it done this year. We are better this season in scoring, time-of-possession, 3rd down conversions, passing ypg, yards per carry, turnovers, and wins
Not sure why you think the offense was better last year
whatever said:If you look at SEC games only, we are averaging 7 points less per game than last year, and we scored more last year on UF, LSU, Auburn, and UK than this year
