Sucks seeing a lot of good coaches moving around and we are not involved. We will be stuck in neutral for 2/3 more years. How did Virginia pull Mendenhall ? Curious if UK fans would want Charlie strong if he was let go by Texas?

This is our staff for two to three years. I think String will be somewhere else by then. Miles will probably be on the hot seat again by then and his buyout will be significantly reduced then...

Just curious....a year ago at this time had you heard of Mendenhall, Babers, Fuente, etc and know they'd be hot coaching prospects? Point is, if and when UK hires another football coach there will be new names emerge or reemerge for UK to pass on.

Dang, you guys want to be in a new coaching search every 2-3 years. Can I still hope that Stoops turns it around or is that not the cool thing to do?
Sure, we can hope he can turn it around, but the clock is ticking. If he can't do it in two more seasons, you have to look elsewhere.

Ruhle, Brohm, Monken, Herrman. I can say with a great deal of certainty that if any of these men was our head coach, we would be no worse off than we are now.

Monken will hang an L on us first game next year. Sad.

Monken looks so poised as does Brohm...USM plays man on defense and boy do they tackle well. This game is really good

What sucks is having so many fans who think it's a good idea to switch coaches every three years.

What really sucks is having coaching staffs that can't coach. If our teams weren't the laughing stock of college football year after year after year you wouldn't have that issue. You'd see fans that supported the team as well as any other fan base in college football.

Seems like the definition of supporter is not what it used to be. Now is the time for so called supporters to become active. There is going to be bumps in the road while rebuilding at UK regardless who the coaches are. Its easy to get behind your team while winning. Criticizing the players and coaching staff is a strange way to show support.

If the fans who are calling for a new coaching staff every 3 years would give the coaches time to implement their system and recruits to mature you could resume your support.

How sure are you about that? I saw a thread on Rafters saying "Have you noticed Cal can't coach without superior talent." Really? Would it be different in football?

To "rebuild" implies you've had something from which to model your rebuilding effort upon; we've never HAD anything remotely close to success, save the odd decent year from time to time.

Kentucky football fans have every reason to be expectant, and impatient, when it comes to our program. It's waaaaay past time for us to field a competitive team, and to at least not embarrass the program with the ineptitude we've been witness to for far too long.

I'm not saying Stoops shouldn't get another year, but I think it's fair to say we should expect a return on our investment in year four.

Perhaps I used the wrong word, I was referring to the many post saying Joker took us to the bottom [which I don't agree}, anyway I agree that the fans have a reason to be expectant.

Not wanting to gives Stoops more than 3 years is impatient in every meaning of the word. As you said its way past time for us to field a competitive team, but to do that you have to give the coaching staff reasonable time. Kentucky has a unique situation in that we have less high school football programs than any other SEC team. It also is the only traditional basketball school in a traditional football conference with the exception of Vanderbilt.

History tells us that the problem is not necessarily the coaching, so why can't we have a little extra patience with this staff. It may take 6-7 years to field a competitive team in the middle of the pack. That would be better than buying Stoops contract and having to pay 2 coaches plus go through this hiring process again..for the 10th time in the last 50 years.

Criticizing the coaching staff and players is only making it harder to accomplish what we would like to see at UK. I also think the present coaching staff needs to get on same page and continuing the good recruiting.. That is the key. jmho

What a whiny fanbase. Give Stoops another year, if he doesn't improve it may be time to look elsewhere. By that time the new practice facility will be built and we may be able to land a big-time hire.
