All this team is missing is a role player.

All our best teams have had at least one guy -- Vincent, Walters, Gholar -- who was willing to get dirty, fight for rebounds, play defense, or knock a MF'er out if need be... but who didn't need to be a superstar. As far as I can remember, most of them didn't even try to score.

I thought that may be Bailey this year, but it's obviously not going to be him. Phil Turner may have been the closest thing we had last year, and something seems to be wrong with him right now. I don't know who is going fill that role on this team. Seems like everyone on the team IS a star (JV, Bost), was a star coming in and still wants to be (Ravern, Kodi, Osby), or is - ahem - a senior.

That was a great win today, but it's still apparent to me we need rebounds and defense. Who is it going to be?

I'm hoping SEC play settles him into his role better...he's not anywhere near effective as he was late last season.

I really wish either Augustus or Osby would take that physical, role player attitude. Both have the bodies and athleticism to be nasty bangers, but I have yet to see the mindset and the shear will to just grind somebody to death. We need a grinder. These 2 need to develop more versatility and let their physical games come out.</p>

every once in a blue moon like he did yesterday when he outfought the UM players for a rebound and put back. He did that a couple of times last year too. As quick and strong as he is he should be getting alot more effort second chance baskets.

someone that can get their shot off the dribble. this team is not near as good as the Mario Austin and Lawrence Roberts teams - if Renardo gets on board and can get his on the low block, we are good to go. Stansbury is squeezing blood from a turnip, and these guys are playing very hard, but I don't see a sweet 16 or better.

I mean, have you seen this dude actually play? I said it during the game yesterday, and I'll say it again: Riley's job is to stand behind the 3-point line and wait for someone to pass him the ball. That's it.

I would LIKE for him to. Not that he is the guy or will.

How dominant would this team be with him at the 4? Or with someone just like him, except with remaining eligibility.
