What were your thoughts when WVU joined the Big East.....for BASKETBALL? I bet you said "we can never compete in this league".....Right? Well, it resulted in Catlett being replaced. Then we hired Beilein, and saw progress. Then when he left we found Huggins. And how did he do in the Big East?

My point is that WVU football CAN compete in the Big 12. To think anything other than that is accepting failure.

For everyone saying "accepting mediocrity" and "supporting failure" I trust that you each have successful careers of your own and your lives are perfect in every sense of the word.

Sure there are people that will defend the coach no matter what, but the people calling for him to be fired during his second season are/were just as bad. I'm not opposed to a coaching change, but this **** is a big decision for Lyons. Alot of money and reputations are at stake and he better be damn sure he's getting a good replacement.

If we fire Dana and turn around and hire someone like Doc Holliday, I'll be pretty pissed.

JB was hardly only a stepping stone in the building of our basketball program.

Plus, I don't recall thinking that WVU couldn't compete in BE basketball. Sure the A10 wasn't deep but it had some pretty good basketball teams....

Joining a tough conference excuse is lame....right up there with travel issues/time for football. Our program at best is stagnating if not on the decline.

I agree getting the right coach can make a difference. The big 12 is tougher than the Big east was but not as tough a people are making it out to be. Just look at the combined big 12 Bowl record since we joined there really hasn't been allot to cheer about
