For years, I've been called all kinds of names on this site. I've had people tell me I'm a closet Rebel. I've had people say I'm not a State fan and numerous other comments. Why? Because I feel our basketball program is too "one-dimensional". All Stansbury can do is win SEC games and beat lower level teams. We will never beat top teams and compete for a national title or a Sweet 16 appearance with Stansbury as coach. He is limited offensively. Being good on defense and rebounding isn't enough to beat top teams. We won't suck with him as coach, but we won't ever be great either.

Suddenly, after years of suckage- Ralph is not good enough to be our QB. Having a winning season and going bowling is just not enough for alot of you now. Ralph too one-dimensional. We won't win big games and compete for a title with Ralph at QB. Ralph is decent at QB, but he has reached his ceiling. We won't suck with him at QB, but we won't ever be great either.

The way you guys look at Ralph, I look at Stansbury. And I have 12 years of evidence to back-up my side.

Is this preemptory because Russell threw our only TD of the game?

Didn't Stans get jobbed by the refs twice last year against a team that had 3 current NBA starters?</p>

Come on Coach. I think there are more people on this board than you think who enjoy and agree with your content. Your problem is the delivery. All of the ego, throw it someone's face, "nanny-nanny-boo-boo" gets old. You have pretty good posts and bring up tons of excellent point. You obviously love MSU and follow this stuff pretty closely. Iagree with you more times than not. I've just never seen anyone who is so proud of when they are right.

no the officials didnt beat us vs Kentucky- not being able to score down the stretch and or hit FT's beat us both times- Our OFFENSE let us down- we are too one-dimensional...If we had done our part- the officials wouldnt have mattered

Stansbury will NOT ever win a Sweet 16 game nor compete with the Nationally recognized teams but he won't have two losing seasons in a row either. Some people see that as good, others want more. But here at Miss. St. we accept mediocrity, gladly in certain sports, but in Football, now that we have a, dare I say Great coach, people expect our flexbone triple-option quarterback to be able to pass better. He is not a passer, there I said it. He really does not need to keep the ball as much as he does. In actuality many times in a game, he reads the option wrong when he needs to hand it off, or even keep the ball and pitch it when he handed it off - saw that a few times during bama. We could have had decent yardage with the possibility to break one if he kept and pitched the ball, but shotgun in not exactly his style. We definitely need to run the flexbone again. Worked very well against Awburn and then we stopped, I don't understand why. We fumbled a snap and lost it after 3 plays and, if I'm not mistaken, 3 first downs. Let him do what he does best and is used to.

Ralph will never be a consistent quality passer but he's won the games for us, with torn ligaments in his throwing hand nonetheless, so the guy is pretty tough. He is our starter and he's the person that gives us the best shot to win. I'd rather have him back there with a stalling offense than Russell back there making a silly mistake.

Just standing up against all the Ralph haters out there that won't stop posting about his play. Give it a rest, guys.

I like Relf as our starter and I like Stansbury as our basketball coach. That said, you're just manufacturing an argument to make yourself look better with the one dimensional stuff. That doesn't even make sense.

Ralph's new nickname on Sixpack and the Junction is "too one-dimensional"...it gets thrown out every day numerous times, but especially by the Tyler Russell should start faction of the fanbase

how our fans are now saying Ralph isn't good enough to get us to a BCS game or beat a top 10 team- and alot of our fans want a change.

But yet in basketball, we know Stansbury isnt good enough to win on a national level, and not good enough to get us to a Sweet 16 or Final Four- but so many of you say- "we can't do any better than that at Mississippi State"

If we had Duke, UConn, and North Carolina in the SEC in basketball like we have Bammer, Auburn, LSU, Florida, Georgia in football Stansbury wouldnt have any SEC or West titles.

Funny how the standards are higher in football than in basketball and that is the sport that is harder to win at the top level,

Now he's on the same level as Stans? Damn coach, that's quite a flip flop..

Honestly, if it wasn't for Manny's D we'd be in about the same position we were last year. There is no way 10 points should win at Florida (Thanks D). We have a better D and aren't playing the same caliber Ds. Thats the difference in our W/L record.

douchebag. We call you douchebag a lot. Really, enough that it should have made the list. I head you called a dbag a lot more than a closet Rebel.If your going to make a list of things we call you I really can't understand how that doesn't make it on there. It's gotta be #1 or #2.

And there is the difference between the QB's. Relf would miss you completely, Russell would throw it to the guy next to you, and Favre would have to pass it under the table because he's short.

I didnt figure there was any way you were talking about that.

Ever watch us jack up 30 3's vs a zone defense? Very little penetration, no high-low concept to work the zone to get easy shots...just pass it around the perimeter and shoot a 3. Our zone offense is more one dimensional than Ralph will ever be.
