we're talking about a pitching coach, not a head coach. That's a BIG difference.

I'm not saying anyone should be happy or that we can't possibly get someone better at all, nor have I ever said that. I'm saying that he should be given a fair chance before people call for his head, and he hasn't been given that thus far.

You're not getting what I'm saying- or you're mixing this up with someone saying we can't do better than Stansbury. I've said multiple times that if we don't show improvement on the pitching staff that he should be fired.

Let me put it this way- firing Butch right now would be more like firing Les Keonning for going 5-7 in his first year as the OC.

You clearly keep up with it more than anyone else on the board and most of the time, your opinions are solid and make sense. But when you are wrong, you tend to be spectacularly wrong. As far as the current thread goes, I think people are splitting hairs. I think we can all agree that our pitching sucked last year and our fielding sucked. Some are just emphasing one while others emphasize the other, but the bottom line is they both have to get a lot better if we're going to have any hope of making a regional.</p>
