Was he outraged when Lemonis fired Foxhall mid season to save his job?
Zero. That's why he isn't emotional about it like fans are.
You don't have to agree with him, but the idea that he has to be a fan of State to speak objectively about State is the exact opposite conclusion you should be drawing.

You can dismiss all these national guys (who are talking to coaches) all you want, but if there's one time that the national perception of our athletic department actually matters, it's when we have a head coach job opening.
It is all about access for these national media guys at ESPN, D1Baseball, & Baseball America. This is exactly the reason that Florida is in the preseason Top 6-8 every year regardless of perceived talent level.

The same guy who was here for the UF series and along with Dave Neal wondered aloud what was wrong with the fans and why it wasnt the same? That guy?
I remember people saying forever that if we fired Croom, the entire locker room might revolt in protest because they all thought of him as a father figure, and all the players would be devastated
Then Croom was fired, and I think one player may have been quoted as saying "man, that's too bad"
I don't get the press blasting this move. It's clear to MSU fans that things aren't going in the right direction. It makes even less sense to suggest that it's better to allow this program to slide any further and sacrifice the future by holding on to the past. That won't cut it in this day and age.
College baseball media is a tiny, niche industry. They need access.
National football media would have been questioning our sanity for not firing him 2 years ago.

I'd argue he deserves a statue for that one year and to be fired for the resume after. Why can't both be true?

He’s probably gotten more free food from left field lounge than anyone who has contributed to Miss State sports.
There's nothing objective about his commentary. It's profoundly stupid and completely divorced from reality.
If the baseball media talking heads hair is on fire, that confirms we did exactly the right thing.

He always - as in every chance he gets - has great things to say about the program when he calls a game from DNF.
Probably worth a lot more than the $1000 his critics give.

Kyle, don't know who you are, but shut the **** up. It's been four years since that title and we've been in the cellar ever since when by all rights we should be in the penthouse. The coach, and the AD, are responsible for the health of the program and we are ******* dying. This had to happen.

A statue for 2021? Exactly how many home runs did that man hit in Omaha? He happened to coach ONE great team out of what? 6 years? ONE! They barely squeaked into the regional last year. I really like Kyle but he lost some respect with that.

It’s our program and we call the shots in Starkvegas. Our patience was running thin on fundamental defensive mistakes and missed opportunities on offense, plus poor management of the pitching staff. We ain’t crazy. We are passionate. When we make it back to Omaha, we’ll show you, again.

Shocker, the guy who is negative against Mississippi State in every post, agrees that we should have just kept on accepting failure from a coach.
He has great things to say about our stadium and the food he gets from the outfield. The actual baseball program though? Not much positive anyone could say the last 4 years.
