Morons name call when they don't have facts on their side.
Winners name call when they are right, and coach is right.

...just tossing out some response that separates the two in his mind and makes his argument congruent.

I just don't get this logic of thinking. He will make our team a whole lot better IF he can get his head on straight. There is definitive risk with Sidney but the reward far outweighs the risk.

D. Players running the team and telling The Recruiter they arent going on the trip? It's ok- thats what The Recruiter really wanted instead of team-building and bonding

As this threadis titled, everything going around about how this went downare just theories and speculation.Saying players run the teamis an opinion that can't be quantified, so it can't in any way be considered a fact even though it appears that it is the case.

Without doing any research, I honestly cannot think of a player who sat out a whole college basketball season due to attitude issues, worked out and went to NBA camps and then was drafted as a lottery pick. I am not saying Sidney is a lottery pick, but if he were to come back and play and dominate like some think he is capable of then he COULD be a lottery pick.

Either way, I don't see how this wouldn't cost him a bunch of money but we will just have to wait and see. As C34 pointed out, there is no way of predicting how this will end which is just like Stansbury.

I was trying to think of a player who was eligible to compete at the D-I level and voluntarily chose to sit out the entire college season before he was to enter the NBA, not being injured or having any other viable reason. Sure it's possible, but it would be absurd and idiotic.

D isn't incorrect though. A player DID tell tue coach that he wasn't going...according to the player and coach.
And I can list dozens of examples over the last 5 or 6 seasons where when added up, it appears the players are running the team. If you don't think the players are running the team from the examples, then the alternative is that we have an incompetent coach that doesn't believe in discipline or consequence for one's actions.
Starting with Jamont's freshman year till this moment, it's been a daycare without an adult.

I said that people go to pre-draft camps to improve their draft stock all the time. Sidney can do the same.

Of course players dont sit out seasons all the time and then enter the draft- do I have to spell every little thing out for you simpletons?

If Sidney goes to the camps and shows out- he WILL get drafted- regardless of whether he plays this season in college or not

if he doesn't play this year he WILL NOT get drafted in the 1st round and get the guaranteed money. Not to mention that if he hasn't played in a year, he's less likely to show out at the camps. He has a lot to lose by not playing.

And I can't think of any that sat out the season before.

NBA teams drool over potential, but they also seriously shy away from trouble and immaturity. Jeremy Tyler this season is a perfect example. He was overseas for 2 season, **** all over himself because he was immature, and his recent season was cut short in Japan so he just worked out for a long time.
He has all the physical attributes to dominate, but he didn't get to show teams he had matured from his 1st season in Israel, and he just worked out for months and months.

Where did he go in the draft?

He is really about as close to Sidney's situation as I can think of for a recent example and his not playing for much of this last season fits with your comment about if Sidney were to sit out this season.

It was a complete disaster and Sidney was the #1 reason (that and Stans's enabling of Sidney). We'd have been a lot better off without him last year. This year isn't starting out any differently. It doesn't matter how much talent a player has, if he's a cancer he's bad for the team. There comes a time when you have to cut your losses. If we're not already past that time, we're damn close to it. We can have a good season without him. With him, it'll either be a great season or a disaster. I'm betting on the latter.

he may improve his draft status from the depths to maybe a 2nd rounder that somebody will take a chance on, but he won't go in the 1st round. The only way he makes it into the 1st round is if he plays at MSU.

Of course this guy is showing he is a train wreck, so it really doesn't matter whether he comes back or not as far as his draft.
