I expect that less and less will.

No. There are many that post on both.

Today was the end of that experiment for me. They ***** about editing posts and locking threads on SPS, then turn around and do the exact same thing there, but for much flimsier reasons.

I don't post much here and only read over there but I don't think editing and locking is a bad thing when it involves racism and the such. Looks like a few guys got a little out there and overboard and the board policed it. What's the problem there?

You can post wherever you want

I don't understand why people feel they have to choose sides on which MSU boards to post on. This whole message board war is 17'ing idiotic. If you feel the need to bash ED just don't post there. And if you feel the need to run to ED and bash SPS then don't post here anymore. It's not that big of deal

I enjoy reading most of the boards, but it's a freaking joke that these amateur websites can't have their little fights in private. It's like some of these people are more worried about how they're viewed on the internet rather than what's best for the university.

If you look under ridiculous in the dictionary, it probably has a reference to see internet sports boards.

I can't wait for the next pissing contest subject matter. I'm sure it will be an elite conversation.

I'm done over there as well, I think I may have posted twice though. Every other thread someone is mentioning how much better it is over there, then ill come read over here and said poster will have started a thread here. Plus if I just went off everyone's predictions and breakdowns of our team then id think we are as talented as lsu and have a chance at an sec title next year. It may as well be called elitegenes.

I read both and rarely post on either. The new Elite site reminds me of what this site was like when I first joined. I find myself just browsing topics here and reading more threads over there. I also read over at 247 and there are identical topic threads on all of them .... and always have been. Some people just want their "wonderful insights" seen by as many people as possible.

So C34 really

did start his own board, and it's called ED (as in special)? Awesome. I hope it has more success than his blog.

And that's exactly what gets locked over here. I've never seen a thread locked because it "disses" OM like they claim (because the mods obviously have a secret love affair with them**), they get locked because its either trolling, beyond stupid, racist, or political.

I enjoy the pissing contests. Drama/male soap opera. Like WWE, except gayer.

I think we’ve all learned a valuable lesson here today. We’re talking about sports, not real life. This is all supposed to be for entertainment, for fun. Sure, the rivalry can get heated at times, but there’s no need to tear other people down, you know? Heck I’ve got many MSU friends, and they’re all good folks. Sometimes people just need to take a step back from the keyboard and remember that at the end of the day, we’re not all that different. . . . except for some of those un-self-aware tard cock muppets who post on ED. They’re different.

I take offense to that. I post over there at times, and I consider myself very self-aware. In fact, I've come to embrace my tard cock muppetry. It's who I am.***

This. It gets locked because it turns into one huge shitfest of flaming or would more than likely go that way but no it's "the ole miss posters pulling the wool over the eyes of DS, HD, der etc..." according to them.

Which do you think is more offensive to Staley's dad, "coachcamp"?

The many racist post by Cadaver (that he continues to try and justify) and others on the ED political board or a discussion about a weed ad at a nascar event on SPS?

The racist diatribes by Cadaver on ED are ironic, because he has been one of the people leading the charge in the "recruits and parents read message boards, so SPS is hurting MSU" ****.

And that experiment shows why having a political board is a bad idea....

I will refer to this situation every time someone gets mad when a thread about politics gets locked. ED made their bed with the idiocy of a political board

I post on both sites now. I wasn't going to sign up over there till Sesh locked my 'Buy/Sell Bo Wallace gets hurt game 1 and the Bears go 4-8' thread. Minutes later that same thread had been started over there just for me because this one was locked. I immediately signed up over there. I love this board. SPS has been my favorite website for forever but I have to admit something weird is going on with it right now. There are a TON of Ole Miss people on this board now. I'm not sure if it's because NAFOOM sucks so bad that all the Rebels just said '17 it we'll just join SPS' but there's been a huge influx of Bears and Bear Trolls on this board and it all started increasing as soon as ED started. The "it" that C34 was talking about was and is THIS. SPS has now merged NAFOOM with SPS and we're all just gonna have to learn to get along. I don't mind talking with the Rebels and I can enjoy different perspectives on topics or else you develop a 'homerism' type of mindset. What I don't like are Bear trolls or Bear mods with itchy trigger fingers.

To be fair, the "bear mod with the itchy trigger finger" edited one post in an attempt at humor... Other than I don't think OP4 has even banned anyone here... Ever.

It did cause an uproar

& if he edited one of my post, (a serious post), I'd be more than pissed.
Make no mistake about it.

Not talking about OP4 or anyone in particular really just saying 'Bear mods with itchy trigger figures' in more of a proactive sense or future sense. If my gut is right and NAFOOM is a dying website then all the influx of Bears would have to mean a few more mods. So no new Bear mods with itchy trigger fingers please.

You can do whatever the hell you want. I chose not to have anything to do with the other site because the person who runs it is a tool.

I would be too. I'm just addressing the fact he's the only bear mod I know of and that's the only time he's ever done anything. I have no problem with him being a mod as long as he leaves stuff alone.

Did you read the board regularly? They policed it once it came back to bite them in the ***(meaning, when Arlo Guthrie and the others started pointing it out last night). Only then. Those "few guys" were "out there" from the start.

I actually don't mind the confederates posting here at all. Hell it'd be jut like elitegenes if it was nothing but all of us pumping sunshine up each others turd tubes. The few that regularly post here bring the right amount of evil to the table and usually make for some interesting threads. In the end it's just a 17in message board and most of us have a lot more going on in life than let a message board affect your real life, unless you sell condoms.
