freakin out somewhere right now wondering who in the 17 he's going to interview next? Everybody should really calm down and let the thing play out. ****, he can hire the 3rd assistant at Belhaven and we won't know if the guy can win until he coaches next season. It may not make sense to you, me, or anyone else right now, but it's not time to freak the 17 out and think our program's going in the *******.

One thing people keep failing to realize is this......Just because we CAN offer 1.5 - 2 million, doesn't mean we are. So everybody that says Drew, or whoever else, turned down 1.5 million for a 300k job at Valpo is kidding themselves. If Scott even offers a guy like Drew or Prohm, he isn't coming at them with a 1.2 - 1.7 million dollar pay raise after one year of head coaching experience. And the same goes for any top assistants like Payne, Dooley, etc. But maybe I'm wrong about all of this

I think you hit the nail on the head... Everyone needs to chill out and let Stricklin do his job... Have faith, relax, get on a boat and drink some beer

Right on the money. I have noticed that no one has mentioned Dr Keenum in the basketball discussion lately. This is a man who has the same passion for athletics as he does for academics. He gets "it" and I have all the confidence that the two of them together will come out with a solid hire. The coach may not be a big name like most people on here would like, but as you said, let the man coach a season before we begin to run him down the river.

I don't post much, but had to put my two cents in here. I am totally confident in our A.D. to make a good hire. Ive not begun to sweat this process just yet. Give the man some time.</p>

Why give that kind of a pay raise to a up and coming coach. Save it for when he get's us to the sweet sixteen.

the welcome to msu, bryce drew post ...but it wont.

You are right Stricklin needs time. There are ton of coaches out there that will give us more than Stansbury has given us the last 3 years. I am not worried one bit that Stricklin with do his job and hire a great fit for MSU. It may not be our first guy we want, but it will be a guy we feel very good about. We have a great foundation on a new brand of MSU and we need certain aspect of coaches to fit into our program.

I do know this, Bryce Drew never had an offer to consider and was told to pull his name out of consideration so he could sign an extension.
