that thought it was completely obvious that the runner broke the plane of the goal line? Why are the announcers so shocked? Oh, that's right, it's Rodney Gilmore, the dumbest piece of **** on television.

Yep, but just like our game, announcers (and apparently Slive and the SEC office) are stressing the **** out of INDISPUTABLE EVIDENCE to excuse the shoddy work that these replay officials have been doing all year long.

Looked like the ball went back just as it got to the doorway to the land of milk and honey. Then the scrum.

The first time I saw it I thought he made it, but not after I saw it again.

The nose of the football CLEARLY touched the plane of the goal line. The very tip of the football only has to touch the very front edge of the goal line and its a touchdown. Hell, half the football broke the plane. And despite what Rod Gilmore says, he did have control of it. Gilmore does that frequently, argue something that is completely obviously the opposite from watching the game. And, shockingly, he's a lawyer.

I'm thinking the ball just has to be directly above of or passed the white line. Or is it that the tip has to be passed the white line and in the endzone paint.

Edit- That's what I was thinking Costanza, above the white is a score, not literally passed it and in the endzone.

The first angle I saw looked like you say, but the angle from above looked to me like he came up short. I think it's a shame they overturned it. It's too big a call to change without certainity and I don't think that play had it.
