Am I wrong by thinking Graveman could start Monday if we make it that far?

I would think so. He looked really sharp today, and I liked pulling him for matchup purposes at that point. Only threw about 55 pitches I think.

But I would think we could get an inning or two out of him. I wonder how his groin will be on a day of rest too tho.

some guys recover quicker than others. Sinkerballers are usually better on short rest and get more sink because they arent over-throwing

I guess I was just thinking if he can only give us 2 or 3 innings, I would rather it be the first 2 or 3 of the game to set the tone. Usually when we pitch Evan Mitchell or the likes, if we get in trouble, it's early trouble....Graveman may be able to help us avoid early trouble, and allow us to get in to our deep bullpen with a lead or scoreless game. Just a thought...a long way to go until that decision is made though.<div>
</div><div>Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Stratton demanded the ball on Monday if we made it that far. You know he is wanting another chance, but I doubt they would let him have it</div>

I figure his sinker allows for less arm strain. Plus, if he's getting good sink, he wouldn't really need to throw that hard in order to be effective. Just get groundballs and try to get us a few solid innings. By the way, he was freaking pissed to come out when he did today. If Ross had given up some runs, Graveman may have thrown a damn fit over there. Glad it worked out, and Graveman seemed good with it once Ross got the double play ball

they just have to understand. Time and again our RP's have ended rallys and threats this season
