Lee only had 1* interception, great improvement

(* that was a clear interception the tight end saved his rear on that one)

Yes and no. Lee has had several interceptions this season when he has had perfect protection to throw the ball.
True, but he was also in situations where you don't want to put your qb. I'm not saying he's perfect at all. But Lee has been the scapegoat for poor line play and even worse play calling.

I thought Lee looked better, but not exactly great. Maybe I'm a bit picky though.

Ha ha I love how only one side of the issue is totally to blame. Lee is the scapegoat because he threw some poor passes, had some bad picks and made some terrible reads. The line didn't help any but he got happy feet a lot, and was anticipating pressure that wasn't there on a couple of picks. No the play calling isn't perfect either but he completed 70% of his passes last night with at least 3 flat out drops. The drops and the missed passes to wide open receivers aren't necessarily play calling issues. Again play calling can improve but the fault falls on several levels.

Gotta catch the football. Pro style can't afford drops. Not pro like. Other than that it was a good night. GBR

And vice versa
Exactly. There were a lot of things that got exposed against NIU that were not solely the players' fault. Small minds can only fathom "It must be one OR the other."

It's both. The calls were mediocre AND the players played like crap. But guess whose job it is to teach the players to execute their calls?

It still baffles me that NU doesn't call audibles. WTF is that?

Lee isn't bad with some decent line play but a great qb would've destroyed Illinois with all the open receivers out there last night.

I wouldn't call the offensive line "dominant" in the game. They played well in the first half. The second half had some major issues.

7 balls hit the ground, at least 3 drops from Morgan, I guess I am missing what a great QB would have done. Again, at least 20 of his 24 passes were caught or should have been caught. A great QB would have been what against Illinois 24-24?

Other than whiff by Jameis, what issues?

He almost threw an interception!!! (Never mind that happens to every QB in every game).

How often do you see Lee read the field?
