Amazing to me how quickly apparently Gus Malzahn's star has fallen...

A few weeks ago he supposedly was everyone's hot candidate. Today, he just seems to be an afterthought. Seems that Auburn's offensive struggles in the second half of the season maybe has everyone souring on him I guess.

Also, his wife likes to speak out in public about a lot of things that are better left quiet. It does look like the good defensive coaches are start to figure out Malzahn, so he might just be a comet that burns out rather quickly.

I had no idea that their offense was that bad this year. #104 in the NCAA, #10 in the SEC.<div>
</div><div>FYI, State is #87 in the NCAA and #6 in the SEC in total offense.</div>

When Clemson was on fire earlier this season, Morris was being regarded as an offensive whiz who came from the high school ranks to be OC at Tulsa just as Malzahn had done. Just a few weeks ago, he was one of the darlings in college football and his name was being mentioned often regarding potential coaching vacancies.

Clemson has now lost 3 of 4 and Morris's offense was shut down by NC State and SC. I honestly don't see them beating VT the second time around now that Bud Foster has been burned once by that offense earlier this year. Morris's star isn't so bright anymore and Clemson could easily finish the season losing 5 of their last 6 games.

I thought he was over rated last year and posted it. I'm just too lazy to find the post.
