here is the thing, I’d like to see the entire exchange between these two … actually wouldn’t because I really don’t care BUT … “The Left” have completely gutted any meaning the words Fascist, Racist, or Misogynist ever had. Could it be that this douche is really that much of an a hole? Probably … OR … could he just be exhausted from hearing from lefty twits using virtual cudgels … because most exchanges I see like this and ESPECIALLY adhoc street interviews are just tw@ts using language in a attempt to silence or shutdown a conversation.
and to be fair … “the right” does the same thing when they call something they don’t agree with “woke”.
Having interacted with you for a while, I can say confidently, while he may have said a thing or two you may agree with in isolation, that you would say he was nuts.
I watched it last night and no this wasn't about moral shaming or virtue cudgels - the majority of these people were far-right extremists with no shame about admitting it. The first guy said he didn't think the J6ers who beat police were criminals because it's a new day and the Right is so fed up with the Left that laws don't matter now(I'm paraphrasing). It was wild I tell ya. Mehdi was on social media this morning saying he was blind-sided by how radical these people were because it wasn't sold to him that way. He actually just stopped talking to the fascist guy because he said if he didn't believe in democracy, there was nothing to discuss.
I mean, this should be INSANE but Pig Boi says this almost daily in this forum. And so do the rest of the Maga folks here.
the extent to which MAGA has mainstreamed bigotry/xenophobia and a lean into fascism can't be explained away with BoTh SiDEs rhetoric. great time to have the Dept of Education led by Linda McMahon smh. The desire to send this country into some new Dark Ages period is really sad.

The attempt by right wing people in the admin to reinstate confederate bases, reinstate "Indian" names, punish universities, is going waaaayyyy too far for most of us. The use of the term "retarded" and similar is gross and mean and is not the America I want to be part of and there is a concerted effort to bring that stuff back.

i too believe the left went too far with the identity politics stuff and wasn't forceful enough when it comes to border security rhetoric. i've criticized the dems numerous times on here going back to the campaign where some idiot decided to neuter the Coach Walz stuff that was playing so well initially. i've also lauded Newsom for being one of the few voices willing to drop the PC ******** and actually hit back at the MAGA morons.

Pickens can be counted on to be against anything trump is for. I equate it to the story about the little boy who cried wolf. After the third or fourth time nobody pays any attention. i'm not sure anyone really gives any credence to his posts and I've only been here for about a week.
I'm new to this board, and I have to admit I'm really surprised at the amount of vitriol toward Trump. There are some on here who seem to hate him and anything he does. And some who seem to know what's in Trump's mind seemingly even before Trump does.
It's kind of like congressional representatives visiting alligator Alcatraz. I could have written the after visit speeches 2 days before the visit: democrats " a hellhole, too hot, not enough AC, poor food, cages, overcrowding". I'm kind of surprised that AOC wasn't there to weep.

And, just to be clear, these are Not MAGA issues, these are American issues, because if the cost of gas/oil goes down cost of transportation goes down, delivery costs go down, cost for farmers to produce and get goods to market goes down cost of fabrics go down, etc and overall inflation rate goes down leading to interest rate reductions by the FED leading to mortgage rates coming down and young people being able to afford homes, then buying furniture and appliances creating jobs and on and on.
You don't see it (maybe you do but just don't want to admit it) that there are some good things happening. Not everything is good...tariffs, high interest rates, wars, hostages, inflation, food prices, Epstein debate, and of course Trump's bombastic nature. Of course, I'm sure you can come with a few more
You also missed his vitriol and confidence before the election. Then his 5 month disappearance from the board only to reappear when he thought he had talking points on tariffs. He was one of two posters I thought Ard should have sent wellness checks out for based on the level of intensity displayed (other being @okclem, who is a lunatic).
