This investigation also led to the seizure of more than 130 weapons---one of the Largest-Ever Firearms Seizures in the History of the Northern District of New York. -

Now if they start a fire in public without permits then they should fine them . Burn the flag if it makes you feel good but get a burning permit to do so .
Find another way to protest. That one is unhealthy when done in front of the wrong people.
Look, I clearly don’t support burning the flag personally, but I put it on the line to ensure people have the freedom to do so. That said, I’d be ok with someone else expressing their freedom of opinion by smacking the flag burner in the damn face.
The way the order reads is that just burning the flag does not get you prosecuted but if the act incites violence or if other laws (fire risks, property damage, etc) are violated when you desecrate the flag, you will have a minimum penalty.
It seems to smartly skirt the first amendment protections while still making the act punishable.
Ironically, the violence of punching the flag burner in the face may also get him prosecuted.
World would be a lot better if people could go back to settling things with some hands, like men.
I don't care if someone wants to use their freedom of speech to say they hate America.I just think burning the flag is going too far and would definitely incite violence in my circle of friends. They need to find a better way to protest. I will never be persuaded otherwise.
Evidence is emerging of the suspected shooter in Minneapolis and appears to be psychotic, manic 22-year-old young man, possibly trans, who left an 11-minute manifesto video on YouTube just hours before the shooting happened. The video has been taken down. The suspect wrote notes on the weapons he used including "Kill Trump Now!," "McVeigh," "Where is Your God?," "Burn Israel" and "6 million was not enough." He had a human-shaped target with Jesus's face attached to it. Hatred destroys the soul.
