And so it begins, compliments of red cup rebellion and a couple of douchebags

"They're actually interviewing Ole Miss' public enemy #2 (no man, dead or alive, can approach Billy Cannon in public enemy status)."

Ah, the #1 Ole Miss public enemy for all time is Jackie Sherrill. That's a no-brainer.

I realize, Mr. Red Cup, you are writing propaganda for the Bear sheep, so facts & truth don't matter, but at least get this one right.

But this article is ****. I honestly think hiring Bryce Drew is a little bit of a little brother move, but if this is the effect it has, bring it the 17 on.

And I hope whoever RCR is catches a well-deserved beatdown for the firearms "joke".

It doesn't look too much like he was referring to what happened last week in the dorm. If he was then he is a jackass of course. But to me that read like he is talking about people celebrating by shooting guns in the air like in Tombstone when the guy light in the britches quotes Julius Ceasar.

I thoroughly enjoyed that. This isthe most Mississippi State thing we could possibly do and it willhave the effect that this writer suspects (save for the Ole Miss galvanization).

We have kicked their *** in basketball for the better part of the last 14-15 years. Our coach goes to the NIT and loses in the first round and gets "retired". Their coach goes to the NIT and loses in the first round and gets a contract extension. Yeah we really give a **** about pissing off all ten of the Ole Miss basketball fans in existence.

I think one prepares you a bit better than the other. I'll let you decide which.

..leave the others scrambling to find a Division II conference that'll take them.

But, Drew hasn't had a coaching job in any capacity that his Daddy didn't get him. This is the definition of hypocrisy.
But I guess I can see your point

It's not like MSU fans and firing guns is a common stereotype or anything. What person affiliated with MSU wouldn't read that and be reminded of the incident?

SEC. That shows pure stupidity. Hell, some of the mid major conferences are better than the SEC in basketball. You cant hire a girls bball coach with lumited experience to coach your team in the toughest conference in the land without expecting to get made fun of. Hiring mid major basketball coaches in bball is completely different. You Rebs are reallt stretching it to try and make this something but it wont work. As soon as towns in the Southeast start shutting down for SEC bball games, come back and compare sports. But until then, Drew is far greater of a hire in SEC bball than Freeze is in SEC football
