Dak Prescott had more total offense (on his own) against Auburn, than TSUN's entire team had against A&M

Does that include the yardage from the two defensive touchdowns?

I must admit, I have not mastered all

areas of football knowledge, but I'm pretty sure yardage on INT/Fumble returns don't count towards offense.****

Usually defensive plays don't count towards offensive yardage.
(Reading comprehension n' ****)

The point he's trying to make (and rather weakly) is that they didn't open the offense up because they were protecting a lead due to some defensive scoring.

He can't sugar-coat it, though. Lack of offense, particularly, lack of running game, is going to cost them at some point. It's why I am not too concerned about the egg bowl. They have a good defense, no question. But if they're playing a team with a good defense, too, they're going to have to pitch shutouts to have a chance to win.

No, but defensive scores change how the offense approaches the rest of the game. (That would've required comprehension re: "situational football," I know. Forgive!)

Yeah, you're totally right. That's why when we went up 21-0 on Auburn we called off the dogs. There was no need to score any more points after that****.

So their strategy changed to punting on every possession against one of the worst defenses in the sec?

Or was freezus just playing vanilla?

Our offense is above average at best right now, that isn't hard to see. I would trade O's with MSU, even. The point was that a lot less was asked of them this past weekend than was of Dak, which is true.

I am calling BS on that. We had just beaten Auburn, they are trying to keep up with us, Bo was in the game untill the end passing, their defense was in the game until the end. Freeze was doing all he could to run the score up but they could not because their offense is not that good.

You could use this same logic to say we underachieved on offense v. Auburn. Hell, our first 2 TD drives were about 60 yards of total offense...
